Sawarn lata sahiba was also One of the first actress of the Pakistani panjabi films even though she worked in bombay film industry before .. Laaray and phehray were the first panjabi films in lahore directed by her late husband nazir sahib

My father owend a cinema house in karach, our ladies used to go see the end scene of film Heer ( when she was given poison by chacha KAIDOU) there were no public in cinema hall , but all our faimilies womens ( in burqas) .film operter vohi scene dikhata tha jahan swarn lata poison pee kr dialough kehti hy, at the end of the film tamam khawateen KAIDOU ko bura bhalla kehti huwi ghar aati thee, used to live in a building near by cinema not more than 25 feet away. Only one song when swaran lata swing with song mein oddi oddi jaawaan huwa dy naal, & the last scene ,as i mentioned. Ab vo din kahan. Most of my families members gone ,swaran lata saheba gone, when we moved to nazimabad 4 in 1962 film star Reyhana used to live with her husband salim sahzad saheb naximabad no 4 ,next to our bunglow .she was also very pretty, mom ki gurya ki turha thee, salim shahzad saheb also very handsom. They both are no more, khuda e rehman jitnay loag chalay gaey ,oon sub ko apni rehmat kay sadqay BAKASH dy. Kahan gaey vo hunstay,muskuratay, mehaktay meethay zamanay.
