Do you still need to buy the $170 POWERlink cable, or can I just purchase the actual obd dongle and flash from my phone?

You will need the V4 POWERlink cable to do the Bluetooth flash

Do you just buy the IE flash cable and plug in tool and the tunes are available on the app?

All tunes useable for your car will show up in the app. If you've already purchased a tune it's as simple as selecting it and installing. If you haven't purchased it yet you can get credits to unlock. Reach out to our sales team and we can help get you set up.

I just purchased the v4 cable and the engine tune. Will I need to connect it to a laptop first or will I be able to download the tune right from the app with the cable plugged into the car?

You should be able to tune directly from the app with the cable plugged into the car.

I have a concern I bought a 2022 GLI with it still being under manufacture warranty. If I do the stage 1 tune can I tune it back to stock when maintenance is due on the vehicle at the dealership?

Hello, I am currently at stage 1+ with Unitronic. If I install the IE downpipe, I will need to use the stage 2 file. If I use IE using my phone and the required IE dongle, as you've shown, do I need to go back to stock first before running stage 2? Or does it clear it automatically if I just run the stage 2 file?

Hey guys, just a quick question..ive heard it's best to turn wifi in car off when mobile tuning , ie even confirmed in an email, just curious about Bluetooth? I know the phone's Bluetooth has to be on, but curious if I should turn wifi and Bluetooth off in car before my first tune? Thanks in advance

It definitely wouldn't hurt to turn off those features so you don't have anything happen especially when cycling the key.

You still have to buy your tunes. This just allows you to switch them up from your phone easily.

If I’m reading this right I need to get the dongle first before the power link? I can’t just buy the power link and do my tuning from there it requires the dongle as well?

The Power Link IS the dongle. That is all you need to pair with your phone :)

We always recommend connecting to a battery charger when flashing to avoid possibly damaging the ECU.

I just flashed stage 1 and i started the car, turned it off then started again but when I flashed for the tcu tune the car wouldn’t start. I had to turn it off first to be able to start the car. Will turning the car off before starting it mess anything up?

The tuning software should tell you to cycle the key before starting. The software has that at the end once it hits 100% which it takes to double check everything is good to go and clearing any faults.

So I have an a7 but my brother had the same car and had the tuner obd and all can I unplug from his old car and use it on mine or is it forever tied to his car?

hey ie i just picked up a 2016 audi a3 and im planning to go stage 1 and i got a couple questions 1. can i go stage 1 without any bolt ons? 2. does this device have a built in stage 1 tune for an audi a3 2.0t

1. You can definitely go stage 1 without any bolt ons. If you want to run the high torque files you will need to also get a TCU Tune or get an upgraded clutch. 2. The device will have whatever tunes you purchased from IE that are assigned to your car. Hit up our sales team and we can ensure you get setup with everything you need.
