Yes you can do stage 1 stock but I would recommend an upgraded charge pipe. That is HIGLY recommended since you stock one is plastic and prone to cracking when adding boost

Thank you so much man! I got my Ethernet cable from the website I ordered bootmod3 from but you can get it anywhere online or even Walmart. I ordered the cable that connects from my phone to the Ethernet cable from Amazon though

What’s going on my friend. It shouldn’t change drastically at all. Tuning your car won’t make the mpg worse just how you drive it tbh. It should stay relatively normal to wherever it is now

Can someone tell me if this would work in the uk scince we have different fuel( 95 and 98 ), I currently have a 2013 328i which engine mods are a front mount intercooler, charge pipe, inlet pipe, diverted valve, awe tuning exhaust and a awe s flow intake. so why did you go with a tuner that flashes your ECU instead of something like a JB4 that is installed between the motor and ECU? if a dealership hooks up to your car, they are going to tell that your car has been flashed. just curious. Thanks.

I no longer had warranty so I was never worried about going to the dealership. I have a bmw mechanic on the side if it’s something I can’t fix myself.

If you take off the check engine light because of the cat less downpipe will it not notify you of any other problems ?

That’s a good question. From my knowledge clearing the CEL will clear it for the catless downpipe and I’m pretty sure any other engine problem. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong. But I just stay on top of maintenance on my vehicle to avoid problems

You can code your car back to factory tune but I’ve heard there are ways that they can see your car has been tuned/tampered with

You have to select you engine, in my case I chose N26 and then the rest of the options are optional. Such as if you need an Ethernet cable, BM3 stickers etc

No it should be the same tune for the n20/n26 as long as you have on or the other. The engine information can be found on the inside of your hood

I wouldn’t recommend tuning stock. I would at least have a chargepipe for stage 1 but long answer short yes technically you could tune stock and put the aggression all the way up

How do you make the Instrument-Infodisplay blue? Mine is originaly in "amber". Only on "EcoPro" i have some blue elemrnts on it.

The one in my vehicle changes automatically. In daylight they are white but at night when my headlights turn on the instrument cluster goes from white to amber

The only thing that I’d recommend before a tune is an aftermarket charge pipe

That’s fine you can still tune your car stock. I would just recommend at least getting an upgraded chargepipe as the stock one tends to fail with increased boost

Don’t have dyno numbers but it’s significant. 20-30 hp for sure with supporting mods like a catless downpipe even more

Stage 1 I would just recommend a chargepipe. It’s not necessary but it’s for reliability purposes. But technically you don’t need any additional upgrades for a stage 1 tune

91 and 93 are both the same

Yeah if you tune it with the stage 1 93 octane you’ll want to use the 93. You can even use 93 not being tuned it’s better fuel. That’s what I use

Bootmod3 offers an E-30 tune but not a full e85. You’d have to get a custom tune for that

My bad haha no I didn’t have to unlock the DME. Mine was already fine when I went to flash it but in some cases yes you will have to get the DME unlocked

The only thing I would say is necessary is a charge pipe to ensure you don’t blow off the plastic stock one.

You should really do the charge pipe with the tune because the stock charge pipe is cheap plastic and once u tune it, the stock chargepipe won’t be able to handle the increase in boost and will cause it to crack or pop off one day while your driving and you will go into limp mode and think you blew something up cause you tuned it. Long story short get the charge pipe with the tune it’s not that much money. Make sure it’s not plastic
