Someone please show this guy the proper playing technique for these gongs. He’s beating the hell out of them which sacrifices a beautiful warm note. A larger, softer mallet on the larger ones would also make a huge difference.

The concept actually had been adapted in Myanmar. So there is a tuned gongs that used to accompany gong chime used in Burmese traditional music

We have also that kind of gongs here in the philipines we called it Kulintang the small one type of gong and the big one we called it Gandingan
