You are a well educated man and I strive daily to become as self reliant as you have become. I am an Ohio boy myself but after a decade in the service I have landed in western PA. I am big on taking trainings classes quarterly if not monthly and I am excited to see what your schedule for your Basics class looks like this time next year. Keep up the great work!

Hey Dave it may be different from guns, but for the most part springs gets damaged and weaken faster when you bend them past what they're original setting was at. I've seen happens a lot with magazine springs where guy stretch them out again to "give them more tension" and it ends up cutting the life on the spring. I don't know if the same may happen with trap spring but definitely information you should look into.

Nice video Dave. I too have heard to have that hair trigger when the pan is level, but now I know how to make that adjustment. I have also heard the pan should be set to 3-5 pounds of weight on it, but the trap springs. Do you know how to make that adjustment? Any suggestions on how to measure the pan's trigger weight?
