Tuning a Malibu with a turbo 5.3 LS engine.
Build Specs:
Gen 4 5.3 stock bottom end
GP Tuning cam
Borg Warner S488
60mm Turbosmart wastegate
A2W Intercooler
Bosch 210lb injectors
Aeromotive 5.0 brushless fuel pump
Holley Dominator EFI
Ignite Red fuel (ethanol)
Custom turbo kit built by Cody at Dynospeed Racing in Memphis, TN

Thanks for putting together the process of creeping up on power instead of squirting rods out the sides. Team babysoft tuning to start, and knowing when to stop tempting fate.

First vid I've watched love the content but the camera work gave me a headache. Slow down a little. Subbed, good luck growing the channel. Oh was this a true sbe no ring gap, or did the ring end gap get opened up a bit?

The turbo kit was built by Cody at Dynospeed Racing. You can find him on IG as @fastcodyfab Sorry I do not have any other pics to share. It wasn’t my car I just tuned it.

What timing do you recommend for boosted sbe?

There are too many variables to give a single number. You just have to tune for your specific setup, fuel type , and boost level.

Full Tune -with e85 and starting at a base of 14 pounds what would be a good starting point on timing?

It’s an untouched stock bottom end so the ring gaps are stock. Probably a Melling oil pump, but that’s not really a detail that I remember
