Tupac Shakur is one of the most dominant figures in the history of hip hop. His recording career lasted just five years from 1991 to his murder in a drive-by shooting in 1996 but established a body of work of an exceptionally high standard which achieved massive commercial success. Since his death there have been a number of posthumous DVD releases variously purporting to tell the "story" of Tupac Shakur through interviews and documentary footage. This DVD release is different. It captures the sheer raw excitement of Tupac live in concert. The whole of the concert at the House Of Blues is included, kicking off with Tupac's set, then Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound and then Tupac and Snoop together for the two track finale. Definitely not for the faint hearted, the show contains Tupac delivering his strongly held opinions direct to the audience and Snoop holding forth on sex and drugs with his usual gathering of suitably dressed women. The Eagle Vision DVD "Live at the House of Blues" is available now. [Snoop] Up out of there [Tupac] (chuckles) Ain't nuttin but a gangsta party [Snoop] Pump that up G [Tupac] Ahh shit, you done fucked up now -- Ain't nuttin but a gangsta party You done put two of America's most wanted in the same motherfuckin place at the same Ain't nuttin but a gangsta party motherfuckin time, hahahahah Y'all niggaz about to feel this Ain't nuttin but a gangsta party Break out the champagne glasses and the motherfuckin condoms Have one on us aight?? Tupac didnt even live long enough to do sold out arenas, was just doing small venues... if he lived longer, dude wouldve been doing sold out arenas. This is one of his most littest performances & wasnt even a big venue. Man, just wished he lived longer, so many things he still had left to accomplish & share with the world on top of the plethora of content he already had... RIP Legend, we really lost an extraordinary human

I actually went to college with Tupac. I didn't know him too well, but I could tell you a few stories. We were in the same drama class for a period, and let me tell you he was not at all the "gangster" persona he portrayed himself as throughout his career, at least not back then. He was witty, articulate and absolutely brilliant, and a natural performer too. A true creative individual. He always expressed love for music, but I was surprised to find that he never pursued acting. I would have loved to have seen what else he could have accomplished if not for his untimely passing. Taken from us far too soon. RIP Tupac.

Tupac had his pants on his waist. I love Tupac's music. I was east coast so I rode with biggie. My cousin put me on to tupac and I was feeling his music unlike any other artist. So much depth to his music. When I mad, sad, depressed, happy, hopeful, boastful or revengeful. Pac has a song for all emotions and that's what makes him the best.
