I love Jasmine Guy ... in the 80s she was on a world tour with Bubbling Brown Sugar ... I saw her on stage, in Berlin, Theater Des Westens ... excellent dancer, singer, just beautiful ... even her picture in the program (play bill?) stood out ... I also loved her on a Different World, which I was only able to see due to AFN, American forces network in Berlin ... what a joy she was and still is ❤❤❤

I have always adored Jasmine Guy and believe she should have received more opportunity in her career. Her iconic character, Whitley Gilbert, is so different from her personal communication style/delivery, yet I believed they were one and the same. SKILL! TALENT! Same with her and Tupac being such close friends. Who would have thought? Someone give this woman some amazing roles so she can do what seems to come so natural-- ACT.

See Jasmine knew what it meant to give someone they right to privacy and she gave that to the Shakur family even though it may have been very difficult at times. She promised them she would do it and she did what she said she was going to do for them.

She didn't know Tupac since they were teenagers growing up in Baltimore as Jada did. In fact, she met Tupac through Jada, so although she was good friends with him, the dynamics were different. Jada made it clear that Tupac only proposed because he was in jail and would've divorced her when he was released. She knew he wasn't serious, and they were just friends.
