The plane is called Tupolev, but it was not assembled at Tupolev’s native factories, but by the MiG (in Moscow) and Aviant (in Kiev) factories, so until 2014 it had two flags on board. But in Russia, from the beginning of the project, this plane was somehow not very well treated, and was soon replaced by Sukhoi Superjet. The nickname Tu-334 is a flying zucchini. The aircraft made its first flights from the Antonov Design Bureau airfield in Kiev. By the way, after the closure of this project, Antonov An-148 aircraft were manufactured on the same slipways with the same, but modernized, Ivcheno-Progress D-148 engines.
