We finally finish the electronic fuel injection installation on our 420cc turbocharged drift trike! Unfortunately it was raining when we finished, so we expect to test it in the next video.

The map sensor needs to see boost for the computer to give the proper fuel curve

This is some ridiculous crap and I'm loving it. Found this while looking up some inspiration for doing a turbo CB250RR on an old shifter kart chassis. Hello from Mooresville. Oh yeah, taller tank, pick up in the rear and a little fuel cell foam will help a lot with the slosh.

In the future, if you have an issue with the alternator, you could remove the pull cord and housing and place a pulley or some sort of drive mechanism from there. Great work guys!

alternator, why not fip it round use drive from the pull start nut to shaft drive the alternator off the engine crank?

Thanks Guys! This has been a great build. Have you thought of valve cover breather to release crank pressure, because the turbo is probably pushing stuff past the rings. ( An oil catch can for the breather mite not be a bad idea too.)

i have my 212 on a mini bike it been running great and hard but for the past coulple days when i go to start it it will run for about mabey a minute then make this really loud kinda grinding noise and enless i hit the throttle it will shut off the engine. can someone help me understand what is wrong with it

Keep the fuel pick up in the same part of your tank and put a 90, up, somewhere that fits. then you can have three needed things: 1. more fuel, 2. a bit of head on the horizontal part of the tank where the pick up is 3. a simple sight guage along the vertical section. Nice work so far, the EFI/turbo combination looks like a completely legit setup. Nothing against your know-how, but I thought EFI plus turbo would have been a nightmare to make happen.

The IAT sensor is suppose to sit on the hotside of the intake. Since when you compress the air with the turbo, the air will get hot and the iat sensor will get faulty readings since you have it set before the turbo.

+carsandcameras I have a question for you well I need some advice.Here the story goes about 3/4 days ago I bought a racing kart frame without knowing anything about it,I actually found the name out,I go to the karting website and the parts are super expensive,so my question is are petrol go karts universal so like you can use any petrol go kart part on the kart within reason? also you know of any cheap places to get cheap parts as I'm 18 and I'm from uk.thanks ps Curtis

I would have tried to put alternator pulley behind clutch on engine crank shaft. Would alway be charging when engine running. Still good project. 2 thumbs up.

A vertical cylinder would be better for the tank but place is a problem... or horizontal and tilting it a bit. Always a pain to have air in the pump ^^

The little black box thing at 3:58 is a CDI box, for ignition and the governor.

How come u guys don't have a fold up table or work bench to set ur karts up on instead of working on the ground all the time? Will save ur back and knees in the long run.
