Today on The Skid Factory, the cylinder heads are back from the Machinist and ready to be bolted on.
The Engine is then refitted back into the car and Al mounts up the Plazmaman intercooler and makes a custom lower radiator support bar.

Awww, not once did Al call it Dirt Squirting :P But the real MVP here is Woody. After a day of ripping it up on the bike, he comes home tired and edits this up for us. Thanks mate

there is massive twist in car chassis, I jammed my fingers in between the door and jamb when the door was shut once. lowered evo1, driving on an angle into a steep driveway and the door gap opened up while i had my fingers touching the door rubbers. when the gap opened up my digits slipped in and then the car got all fours on the same plain and closed the gap.

May have already been pointed out but................Instructions with quality holesaws (Millers Falls or Stanley perhaps) say maximum speed not more than 50 feet per sec. straight line cutting speed. Slower the better so long as you are getting swarf. If you stick to something under that (50fps) keep them cool & use recommended cutting fluid they will give good service.

I’m gonna reply to myself here, early LS1 sump? Al I’m only asking because you’re definitely a guru, whereas I learn things the very hard way.. I’m just not sure how the oil filter integrates from the rear of the pan to the front and if I can just bolt this LS1 pan onto my L98? 😅 obviously need a new pickup just the oil filter is what is doing my head in 😂
@theskidfactory
@theskidfactory 4 жыл бұрын
It's a commodore sump, assuming you are from the USA it would be a pontiac GTO sump. They are pretty rare in the USA but everywhere here. It is a factory GM engineered unit with pipes inside the pan to transfer from rear of block to front filter. The engine actually had a moroso sump on it which is a terrible fit for a commodore. I assume it's made for older Ford fitment.
