TURBOCHARGED Maverick Sport XRC Walk-around

Күн бұрынI wanted to do a complete walk around on my unit to show some of the upgrades I’ve done in the past 8 months. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below. I will be doing a separate video on turbo installation itself and also a video showing the speed with the new turbo system.

@daniel 1k shifter is by EMP. Makes shifting through tight trails nice and easy.

Oh man the want is super high! I have an xmr and the only time I find it underpowered is when you hit the nasty sticky mud. Some 32s and a turbo should be able to pull most any hole without issue

Nuped117 some boost in that XMR will Definitely get you out of any situation.

hey what did you do for the LED headlight upgrade? i cant find any that fit. or did you do the X3 headlight? if so whats the ins and outs! thanks for the help , nice video i just got my 2020 XRC

@michael Kruger congrats on the XRC! I run the hikari ultra lamp replacement and just modified the brackets outside of headlight to fit. Plug and play after that. HIKARI Ultra H11/H8/H9 LED Bulbs Conversion Kit, Prime Zes LED, Halogen Replacement 6K Cool White Foglight Thanks for the feedback!

I love the shift gate! Where did you get it please?

its the EMP shift gate. Makes shifting quick when having to shift during tight maneuvering.

Could you give me a sense of how much louder the force turbo exhaust is over stock?

@flip1950 it’s definitely louder but also a much deeper sound. Check out my other videos of the start and a test runs and you can get a better idea of sound increase. Thanks!

what size x3 clutch weights did you use?

Running clutch arms same as X3 with a kit from Quad Shop Customs kit is specifically for a maverick trail/sport. Clutch has performed flawlessly.

That Black Oak LED light bar looks like a single row. For some reason my double row one looks way bigger.

@joshua glover yes the LED bar is sine row black oak pro series 2.0 combo. It’s nice and slim but insanely bright

I would like to ask you a question about your Maverick XRC. I have the 2019 version, and when I come off a hill and let off the gas to where the momentum is allowing the machine to go down with out adding or removing throttle, I get a PO...POP...POP POP from the exhaust. If I am pulling a hill or just driving on a flat, there is no POP POP POP. Does your machine do any of that? I am about to get the FORCE TURBO installed this next week, and don't want to have any issues. Thanks in advance, Wayne

@Wayne Owen my machine did the same thing stock and does it with the force turbo as well. I’ve been running this system for just over a year and have not had one issue with this system. First test ride was a 200 mile weekend in Arizona and performed great.

@@off-roadskys4250 Tanks for the reply. My Machine is currently at the "Force Turbo" shop getting the turbo system installed. Bryce Kendrick of Force Turbo is a good neighbor of mine. I am anxious to see how it performs! BTW, does your machine run any hotter than when it was stock?

@@1gr8oil no problem! My machine does not run any hotter than stock. You will love the turbo. That’s the best upgrade I’ve done , other than shock therapy springs. Bryce helped me get this tune dialed in so if he has it in his shop you shouldn’t have any problems. I installed the kit myself in a day and a half. Tuning took a few try’s but she’s dialed in now

What’s the part number on the husky box and how is it mounted

@Dylan Hennings used the 25 gallon husky box and 2 1/2 inch 9/16 bolts. Bolted the bolts in and mounted the box with washer and wing nuts. Works perfect

Buy stock x3 headlights from Amazon. We can retrofit them into our machine. All we have to do is make a harness which is extremely easy!

What'd the turbo system cost you? Hows it holding up? Have you put many miles on it yet?

Force turbo kit was about $3600 with clutch arm kit. Got the kit while on sale last year. Ive put about 200-250 miles since installing with no issues.

The Maverick Sport XRC has 100hp with the Turbo, how much horsepower more do you get?

No dyno yet on this system. Force turbo claims 40 HP more

What’s the hp before and after the turbo? Do you know?

On the Maverick Sport XRC 1000r model the base horse power is 100 hp. The Force turbo system is setup with 5 psi of boost which I was told increases HP by 30-40% so this would bring HP to 130-140 hp. You can also get more boost out of the system but I am running with the 5 PSI for now.

Abram Greene that’s nice! Once you feel the power difference you won’t regret it. Higher altitude is mainly why I went with the turbo. Stock power is plenty for most riders. Thank for comments!

I have the mav sport xmr and curious if the kit looks like it would be reliable in some water and mud occasionally?

@@devinnagorski574 I spoke to force turbos and they said it is a completely sealed system, so there shouldn't be any issues with water or mud. I also spoke to another person who has the kit for the defenders and he goes into deep mud holes and he has never had an issues.

You also get the annoying buzzing noise when you turn the machine off.

Yes. I believe that a shutdown process of electronics. My defender does the same noise.
