I must say, but what you’ll use first and most often. For me it’s the blade-type grooming reel and the verticut. If your thatch is mostly in order then you only need to maintain. The scarifiers are for problems and really dense thatch situations

I think that Protea machines has moved into Canada but I’m not sure if the US yet. Might be worth finding that distributor and see what’s possible. I’ll try get their contact details as well

Howzit, and thanks for watching! I planned to purchase all the attachments but haven’t come up with the moola yet. So in future, I will have videos made on each of the different reels for the SVG500. The pin-type is usually used on cricket pitches and bowling greens for specific tasks. It can be incredibly aggressive as well as super gentle if it’s used to just tease the surface of very fine turf. I’m talking sub 6mm. For most residential applications, you pretty much never need more than the scarifier, verticut or grooming reels. The grooming reel will be used most often, and the other two less often and for certain applications. I must say, I don’t know anyone who’s tested the pin-type on KZfaq before but I’ll chat to Protea and see if they have some content I could use.
