He won more than 52 percent of the vote, that's been described as one of the most important - and closely contested - in decades.

According to this video description "President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is starting his third term in office after beating Kemal Kilicdaroglu in a run-off on Sunday." Turkey has a two-term limit for Presidents. The CHP wanted to introduce a 1 one term limit for Presidents. Therefore, Erdogan should have been disqualified from running for Turkish President. However, he thinks he can run again because of constitutional changes to the President's power. This is not a valid excuse because the term limit of the President was not changed by the constitution. It remained as two 5-year terms.

The presenter's demeanor is very poor and, he does not seem to understand that news need to be fun, inviting and, light touch even if the issue is serious. He needs to be retrained or relegated to desk job.

A sad day for Turkey. Term limits be damned, "president for life" Erdogan secures a third decade of rule. Turkey, meanwhile is going to continue to suffer under record inflation because of disastrous economic policies, and the threats to secularism are causing Ataturk to roll in his grave. So congratulations Turkey, on a job... done.

Third decade of rule, 'coz half the country voted for him over others. Even one of the other candidates gave in his support to Erdogan. Disastrous economic policies makes me realise increasing the interests/taxes would rather be more hurtful than decreasing them. Also, didnt he pay off the IMF debt.?
