Sooo good. My first gun / present from dad was an A5 humpback 20, to match his Belgium humpback 12. Oh, the memories we shared with these two guns! He’s now 94, and I guarantee he could still bring a pheasant down faster than most guys 50 years younger! Thx for this, boys!

I appreciate Nick even more now for this episode, even shed some tears like Jakes intro to his family’s opening weekend gun camp video few years ago. I come from a Browning family and we take turkey hunting very seriously. My grandfather is 101 and knows my dad carries his old A5 mag12. Calls everyday at 12:00 (Nys quiting time) to see if it barked that day. Guess I have a goal to set with it too someday.

What a special episode!! So happy for you Nick! I got a tom last season with my great- grandfather's A5 made in Belgium in 1935. It was a wedding gift from my great grandmother to him. My grandad used it, my dad shot a tom with it the first turkey hunt I ever went on with him, and now I got one!

I felt this! My grandpa’s old guns disappeared after his passing 22 years ago because of family things. I recently found his model 12 12 gauge for sale and bought it. I cried when my son held that shotgun and my first squirrel last fall with it was super emotional.

Not to be that guy.. but ima be that guy 😂 About those ants, that's actually not a queen. That's a polymorphic species of ant that has different sized workers. The big one is a soldier, tasked with defending and chomping food. The small ones are workers, tasked with taking care of the brood, queen, tunnels, and finding food. Furthermore, typically, the workers of an ant colony are in charge, superior to soldiers and even superior to the queen. I love your videos THP, and I love when you show ants!

My Grandpa passed the day we found out we where having a baby she is 4 know…I killed my first turkey last year! Hands down the most amazing experience I’ve ever been apart of! I thank him for helping me on that one!

I grew up hunting with my Papaw's Remington Model 11 which is the same as the Browning Auto 5. I still have my Papw's and my Dad's Model 11. Treasures both of them. I won't live long enough to kill as much game with any other weapon than those two shotguns. Quail, Grouse, Ducks squirrels, rabbits and turkeys. The improve cylinder bore was my deer slug gun. I have never been as accurate with any other gun than that Model 11. My Father swore by his shotgun. I could never out shoot him bird hunting or killing rabbits in front of a pack of beagles. Great video boys.

Belgium brownings are amazing. My late grandfather bought one new in 66 with a 31 inch barrel and a full choke to use as his Turkey gun. I’m gonna try and bag my first Turkey with it this year

I have that exact model same gun, circa 1972 or so, and it’s the finest shotgun I’ve ever used, bar none. That was a great tribute to your grandad. Congratulations!!

I love these hunts you all share ! I especially loved this hunt because I haven’t laughed so hard in years watching Jake and his dead leg. Then after I calmed down from laughing so hard , tears 😢started to flow from the tribute of Nick’s grandad! What a beautiful and touching display of love and respect! I never leave a comment but had to after watching this. I was fortunate enough to inherit my great grandfather’s Remington 1148. A few years ago I harvested a turkey with it opening day of the season. Awesome hunt guys!

My husband ( Bill) said this was one of the best THP videos he has seen . Nick using his grandfathers Browning A-5 ( going old school ) , paying tribute,respect. class act all the way. Bill has his father's Browning A-5 ( 1956 model ) 2 3/4" standard , an has killed several gobblers with it . true treasure of a gun . you guys did an excellent job on videoing this hunt .

I did write the song for the hunt! Credit Jake with the idea to do it and Nick for his love of the fiddle and my style of playing. It was a blast for me and one of my favorite THP tunes

Way to go Nick 👍🏼 Buddy was right there for that one. What a special hunt. When my Dad passed I got grampas 12ga double. I went right to the place where grampa had his trailer and shot a bird within 300 yds of it. Good to keep those family ties strong 💪🏼❤️

Somebody might have gotten that old gun out and worked some shells through it before the hunt to make sure its lube hadn’t set up. Good thing you didn’t need a second shot after grandpa jammed. Great hunt and quite the tribute.

I've got my granddad's Remington Model 11 made under the Browning patent. It is a 20 ga with a 26" improved cylinder choke. It has taken a train track load of quail and a few pheasant. The blueing is almost none existent but still works like new. I've bought 2 boxes of Federal Hevy weight 2 & 3/4" shells and intend on it taking it's first ever turkey this year. I'll have to get'm close but that's no problem for me, just adds to the excitement of the hunt. Way to go fellas, a special tribute to the old timers!

Used my Dads J C Higgins Model 20 he bought new in 1940 to ROCK a tom with a 9.5" beard on April 24, 2022. Still makes my soul soar
