Turkish Airlines Economy Class Review | How’s their A330 in 2024?
Welcome back to another trip report! Today we are flying Turkish Airlines from Cairo International Airport to London Heathrow Airport via Istanbul Airport on the Airbus A330-200 & A330-300. Today's aircrafts are the A330-200 & -300 with the registrations TC-JIO & TC-JNO. These Airbus A330’s are in a 2-4-2 configuration. Turkish Airlines I believe is Europe’s Best Airline due to offering a great product on its aircraft and the outstanding meal service on these short flights + using widebodies. Do you agree?

Flight Experience: The seat was comfortable, however the legroom is brutal if you’re tall. The -200 has slightly better legroom than the younger AIrbus A330-300 Turkish Airlines is known for its fantastic catering and the lunch served on this flight was 10/10. The IFE is old however there was a good selection of movies and tv shows. In terms of room for improvement, most of my flights with TK were delayed. We first flew from Cairo to Istanbul and this flight was delayed for 90 minutes which made me miss my original flight to London on a Boeing 777-300ER as I only had a 80 minute connection at Istanbul Airport. This caused me to stay at Istanbul Airport for 7 hours instead of the original 80 minute connection time. Even the 2nd flight to Heathrow Airport was delayed by over an hour. Overall, I do recommend Turkish Airlines. I also reviewed their amazing New Airbus A350 & A321neo this month, stay tuned for those videos coming in October!

The Airbus A330 is a wide-body aircraft developed and produced by Airbus. Airbus conceived several derivatives of the A300, its first airliner from the mid-1970s. Best Economy Class catering that's for sure, Emirates is also quite good but TK beats them in terms of taste

You gotta be crazy the food was rubbish. The aeroplane was hot. They didn’t want to bring any drinks around. The crew was rude. They would like something that they work for the secret place and a boarding with chaos. It was every man and woman and child for them self is like the last plane out of Stalingrad never ever ever again.

@@challanger275 I think you need to understand that, that's your experience. And that is chucklesomeaviation's experience. 2 different. The crew can be a hit or miss. Turkish airlines food was good when I flew them. Maybe when you flew them it was bad it's just luck with airline experiences.

Ive just booked a flight to Bangkok from Dublin, every video i watch seems to be a delay...is it just unlucky or pretty much every flight like this?

Hi Andrew, Hope you have a great trip! It's quite common 3/4 of my flights were delayed and I've seen many others at the airport mention delays/missed connections. I would advise checking FR24 Website to see if your flight is commonly delayed I checked mine before hand and the inbound flight was delayed 3/7 days of the week resulting the outbound to be too. I suggest checking before your flight. Never experienced such frequent delays on any other airline but everything else (apart from delays) was excellent on the 4 flights I took with Turkish.

@chucklesomeaviation awesome thanks for the info I'll do my homework as this could become problematic. I usually fly Qatar but there price was £250 more than the price I paid with TK.

Hello there! I got it from the Turkish Airlines customer support desks which are located in several areas at Istanbul Airport.

I flew with them lots from London to Istanbul, and then I to Bangkok. The food was terrible. The crew was rude. The airline was hot. You had to beg to get drinks and a boarding was chaos. It was like the last plane out of Stalingrad never ever ever again, another matter what the bloody price.

The crew on TK were mostly rude in my experience as well. They didn't want me to film anything at all even the food lol. Only 1 cabin crew was really nice and that was only on 1/4 of my flights. Thanks for watching and sorry that you had a terrible flight experience with them.
