I had a beautiful white Turkish Angora who was "odd-eyed". She was a very funny cat that had a personality like no other cat that I have owned.

I wanted to buy a Turkish angora for the longest time when one day I found a feral one right outside of my house, a gift from god. Since he was a kitten to having him for almost 3 years now he has been super energetic, it’s true that these cats can play all day almost like a dog, 100/10 would recommend to get one if you’re planning on getting your first cat, all though he sheds a lot so get used to have cat hair all over everything

My Turkish Angora Oliver was born deaf. He has soooo much energy. I call him the terroizer, lol. I take him on walks with his harness he loves it.

Just discovered my niko is a Turkish angora. He’s solid white with green eyes. 9 and we’ve had him all 9 years. He’s def an energetic psychopath, but that’s my baby 🥰😂

I have an angora and she is the most loving lap cat I have ever seen. She has one blue and one green eye. Very beautiful and greets anyine who visits. Pearl amazes me how long she holds eye contact with me. She loves me telling her how much I love her.

I’ve had many non-breed cats over the years. Other than the color and length of their coats,all the behaviors mentioned are true to being a cat, not just a Turkish Angora. That said, the TAs are gorgeous. 😻

I don’t know why I don’t know how, and I don’t know the chances or odds but I found a Turkish angora kitten in the streets with 4 more kittens but when we approached the kittens ran away but the Turkish angora didn’t, no wonder why there thought to be so intelligent (she knew she was going to get a free vip shelter and food) and the thing is we’re Turkish too! When my mom was a kid, she always wanted a Turkish Angora cat (she would have named her Mewsette after the character from the 1962 animated movie "Gay Purr-ee" or Duchess after the character from the 1970 animated movie"The Aristocats"); but she found out that she was allergic to long haired cats.

Hello so I have a question? In the video it’s said that Turkish angoras have long hair and a bushy tail, but a lot of short haired cats are shown as well. Are those still pure bred angoras? Or are they crossed with other breeds?

We have three Turkish Angora kittens😁 But we killed the mother cat because it was driven over by a vehicle and her both legs and feet and back and tail were completely broken😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Trivial correction: Ankara is not the former capital of Turkey. It is and has been the capital of Turkey since it has been founded in 1923. If you think Istanbul is the capital, not it is not. Istanbul (former Constantinople) was the capital of the preceding Ottoman Empire..

I have an Angora and I'm having many problems with him, 1. He is VERY afraid of strangers, if someone comes into the house whom he doesn't know or doesn't meet very often then he runs away like a bullet from them 2. His reactions are VERY unpredictable, he likes it when I pat his head and the area above his tail but if I ever massage the area around any of his paws he might flip out any moment and when he flips out he can scratch real hard that he might actually injure my arm, and to anyone asking: No he does not have any injuries around that area. 3. He does not allow my 16 month old niece to get near him even though she's been in our house for as long as possible, he might be reluctant to let her close because she usually approaches his tail but it's almost been a year and yet he doesn't let her touch him. I'm really getting frustrated with his behavior, I mean I can stand him not trusting strangers, but the fact that he doesn't allow my little niece to play with him really pisses me off, but on the bright side it might be better because god knows his unpredictable reactions might end up hurting her so maybe him not allowing her close is for the best.

My angora is mad of me because i bringed a new pregnant siamois home, he gets mad all the time and sometimes he hits the other cat that lived 1 year with him
