Disagree. Bosses take too many hits, and the gameplay spams enemies at some point which is more frustrating than fun. It is a game that has so much quantity that quality is lost to a degree. In my opinion the best overall experience is the first Metal Slug

1 and 3 are the only Metal Slugs I can beat without spending a continue (on the normal difficult) 😁😁 I'm an arcade oldie tho

1 and 2 are the hardest because of the Nazca A.I. they were madmen, x was like the beginning of how Metal Slug 3 would be, and 3 is just the best MS in all aspects: Missions & Difficulty.

@@annoyingdude7117 I know many people who finish metal slug 3 without dying but look again to the way he escapes from attacks and hits, it's impossible to stay focused and escape from multiple attacks, like in stage 3 in the bridge level, and not just here, in many places.

MS4 just used recycled levels and excised Eri and Tarma. MS5 was better.

@@Theshark15z pretty much though 5's flaw is it was rushed, crudely untested for 2 players and has the cheapest boss next to sol dae rokker but it plays a hell of a lot better than 4 4 is something I really want to forget

I truly appreciate that. 😊🙏 Unfortunately, there are no secrets, hints or tips when "Sol Dae Rokker" is attacking with his yellow spikes. I had to watch out, observe carefully and do my best to dodge the yellow spikes since these will fire always at random.

There's so many different routes on that mission, it's easy to miss them. Plus if you play several times and are trying to beat it with as few continues as possible, it's easy to tend towards the routes you already know. The Japanese one is super tough compared to some of the others!

@Simple15ish I absolutely didn't use any cheats, save states or tools while making this Longplay / Walkthrough video. It sure took a lot of time to practice and study the whole game before making this Walkthrough / Longplay video. I also had to be very patient. Countless runs were ruined while making a No Death/No Slug Damage run Longplay.

@@TurkishBullet19 That's awesome indeed ! I do watch many speedrun on different games so i know how hard it is + frustration just to get 1 perfect video out. Hugh respect man !! Also maybe you should consider putting it in the title (no damage / hit) too, since i was searching for Metal Slug games for "no death run" and your video didn't show up, so i ended up watching 3 others people played before i found yours xD (Reason i searched for no death run was because i was watching some Mega mans earlier on the no damage run). But after that i've been watching all your Metal Slug from 1-5 now, and continuing on to the 6th ! Anyway thanks for your hard work and i'll say it again, I really ENJOY your runs !!

@84kingmartin Thank you! 😊👍 Yes, Metal Slug 7 (Nintendo DS), Metal Slug XX (PlayStation Portable) and Metal Slug Advance (Game Boy Advance) are already included on my "Longplays to do" list but it will take some time because I'm doing a lot of Longplays of different video games at the moment and many of them are work in progress. I'm currently busy with Metal Gear Solid (Sony PlayStation) and Cold Fear (Sony PlayStation 2). When it's done, I will be busy with Devil May Cry (Sony PlayStation 2), Viewtiful Joe (Sony PlayStation 2), Silent Hill (Sony PlayStation), Resident Evil 4 (Nintendo GameCube), Dino Crisis 2 (Sony PlayStation), ObScure (Sony PlayStation 2) and Virtua Cop (Sega Saturn). I have played and recorded the Arcade version of "Metal Slug 3" on my Personal Computer through an Arcade Emulator called "MAME" (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator). A longplay is a play-through of a video game, created with the intent of completing it as fully as possible, mainly for the purposes of nostalgia, preservation, and possibly as a walkthrough. Also, for people who are unable or unwilling to play a certain game, yet wish to know and experience its story, a longplay can be viewed simply as a long digitally animated movie. Unlike speedruns, there is no time constraint aside from those imposed by bandwidth/filesize concerns. Likewise, a longplay is distinct from a Let's Play, in that there tends to be little to no commentary on the game from the player. When I was doing this Longplay / Walkthrough my goals were: -Killing All Enemies in the entire game -Showing All Secrets -Collecting All Items -Saving All Prisoners of War -No Death -No Slug Damage
