Hey Max, thanks for the great tutorial. You mentioned that you dislike the symmetry of the metahumans - I just wanted to let you know you can turn that feature off in the MetaHuman Creator (it's the little highlighted circle with the dotted line icon right to the menu).

For anyone who can't imported the hair groom assets from Quixel Bridge, try Edit > Project Setting. Under Rendering > Optimizations, check Support Compute Skin Cache option.

the meta human stuff looks good but the eyes always look like they're the wrong shape IMO.. but the characters they include dont have that issue so i'm wondering if its something people aren't doing when creating or just a feature missing. It's not just yours either awesome TUT btw super helpful

I think 2 biggest issues are 1: everything is too symmetrical , needs some imperfections to feel more human and less digital. 2: Limited options for facial features (*more so applies when you're trying to replicate the likeness of a real person). Even something as tiny as mismatched eyebrows can drasticfally change the ways someone looks.

You didn't mention RealityCapture as an option? They are closely associated with UnrealEngine, bought by Epic, and probablyu will be integrated into UE at some point.. That's a good way to generate the mesh.

@@ZacMarcus You need to do the whole thing in 5.0 and when you're finished you can migrate the metahuman blueprint into any 5.1 project

@Max Novak Can a character Artist perform all this process and export the model to Zbrush or any preferable software for extra detail like highly skin details,scars,the use of Alpha maps and so on

Doesn't work with 5.1.0, but if u Uninstall and install 5.0.3 instead, than it will work!!

Hello, I would like to hear your advice. Let's say that I need to make a female character, but underwear for women is not very suitable. What could be done to remove/replace it? I know that this cannot be done in Meta Human, because the underwear is sewn into the texture. And how would you change the body mesh, if needed.

I'm on LAN and my iphone shows up on unreal, did all the steps but the metahuman face doesn't move unfortunately :/ iphone 13 pro All plugins and arkit enabled, I did delete torso feet to have just the head though not sure if that might affect it.

So it seems like you used iphone 8 for livelink? I was told I needed iphone 12 and above and was completely disappointed bc I can't afford a new phone hahah but seems like you got a pretty decent footage so I might test this out as my iphone is an 8 as well! Thanks a lot

This seems to be a really common mistake, but there's no such thing as a "vertisee". The word is "vertex" singular, "vertices" plural. Pedantic I know but it kinda bugs me! 😂

I understand the stealing of art illegally but let us say I train an AI machine strictly on my art set, if it generates anything, that would be “mine” in a sense. And anyway, the world is evolving, whether you like it or not. As computers take over more jobs, newer ones will be created. So hope aboard the AI wagon. 😎

@@lukesky123 AI art is fine, but those obvious ai generated voices are really starting to get to me. after a while it all starts to sound the same and is really annoying because people would rather let the AI talk for them instead of recording their own voice. I am hopeful that ai will be more beneficial than not, but I dont think we are even close to a sentient ai yet.

Verify well at 1:23 from this videot hat you get MetaHuman Plugin install into your Unreal Engine 5.0 or 5.1 only, then at 6:10 that this plugin are well activated in the Edit > Plugin and search for it, hope you can find out.
