A couple of extra things about this. This is a setup for gaming on a PC and for this setup, you just pair your headset as the audio output and the ModMic Wireless microphone as your audio input. Also, I'm not campaigning for people to buy an AirPods Max as a gaming headset, just using it as a vessel to highlight the ModMic Wireless's capability to be used with any headset you currently own. Lastly, what do you think about the microphone audio quality?

I personally use the airpods max for gaming using the fifine T683 microphone. Tbh gameplay sounds amazing with them and way way better than regular gaming headphones out there.. Great review and I might end up getting the modmic because I can't take my arm mic with me when i'm traveling lol

The audio on my AirPod max is very degraded when connected through Bluetooth on my pc. Any ideas? This isn’t a problem except when connected to my pc through Bluetooth. It’s also a brand new high end pc.

@@myclassmate7588go to sounds settings and press don’t allow under microphone tab for AirPods Max. Or you could go into device properties and disable “hands free telemetry”

I appreciate this video. I purchased the AirPods Max for the noise cancelation- really valuable for being hypersensitive to sound. But the mic absolutely sucks. This is going to be my solution… with a few adapters. Lol. Thank you!

I have one of these and i can confirm that they are *awesome!* Such good audio! And y]they’re compatible with other sound programs so you can tweak the sound to your liking! They are great right out of the box though!👍🏾

I just got the AirPod maxes but I can’t find myself going through all this for this kind of setup. Specially since it’s a micro USB but the microphone does sound good. I would do this if the mic itself had a magnicida stick to it instead of adhesive, that would seal the deal for me tbh, I’d overlook the micro usb But either way, great video

And once Amazon makes their products usb c its going to be awesome unless they make version 2 lighning cable than to use usb C

None of them compared to the mod mic. The steel S sounded horrible compared to the mod mic. They all sounded horrible compared to the mod mic. Thats incredible.

Just got the AirPods Max yesterday, and was looking to compliment it with the ModMic. After this review, I’m certain it blows everything else out of the water, but I’m going to pass because of the Micro USB, and the fact that it doesn’t seem to work on mobile phones.

I have the series x. I bought some air pod max for traveling. I wanted to see how they would work for Warzone so I wouldn’t have to buy another headset just for gaming. I bought the lightning to 3.5 jack(has to be apple), I got a splitter for the lighting cable from the pod max and modmic to plug into. The modmic 3.5 has a magnet on it also. What I done was got the silicone covers and got a small earth magnet and put some hot glue on the side that would touch the max aluminum so it wouldn’t scratch it and the magnet on the mod mic sticks very well. Then all you have to do it take off your silicone cover with your mod mic on it.

i can almost guarantee Koss KSC75 are more suitable for gaming than those Airpod Max, and cost like $480 less. Then you can go buy some cheap 3.5mm lav mic or use some of the saved money on an XLR setup

Plus, you won't have the awful latency of a bluetooth setup, the wonky tuning of the airpod max, and the sound quality will be around the same for both. Just not worth the money.

@@jairlopez2209 Sound quality, yes. Open-back don't need transparency because they are open back, and noise-cancellation messes with the sound quality anyway. Just not worth.

@@KaneAmaroq oh but I feel like the video is not to display why you should get the AirPods Max, but if you have them how to run them into gaming headset, cause the xm4 and the AirPods Max are regarded as the best wireless headphones on the market, obs nothing compare to amp power wire headphones

@@krisegg33 Yes it works for PS5. I’m using the Modmic and AirPods Max. The modmic works perfectly but to get the AirPods Max to connect to the PS5 you will need to buy the lighting to audio jack cable that cost $35(for 0 latency) or a bluetooth adapter for the PS5.

This is not a good setup for any gaming. Bluetooth latency, non-apple users wont ever buy this and there are better options on the market at a quarter of the cost. I dont understand this entire video.
