I just bout that cage with a Rode micro II ultra mic for my iphone 13 pro max to record my daughters rock band when rehearsal or live show. I just recorded a rehearsal and the sound is awful compare when Im not using the rode mic. Do I have to use an external recorder like you with the mic? Can I use just the recorder etc??

i like it, but i use a phone case for my moment wide angle lense. WIll it still fit with a case on it?

Looks like he doesn’t answer many if any questions. I have another cage by Ulanzi and I believe it’s the most basic one and I leave my case on the phone all the time. Most likely unless you have the biggest phone with an extremely bulky case it won’t have a problem.

I have an IPhone 13 Pro Max and use it with a Moment case and lenses. It's a tight fit (which I prefer) but it works. Filters fit as well.

What is the red knob on the bottom for?

It's for securing the phone in the case. It locks the tension mechanism so the phone won't fall out.

Yes, with a very slim case but it's definitely pushing the capacity limits of the cage.
