hi, I'm kristine!! I am currently a professional dancer on Royal Caribbean's Ovation of the Seas!
In today's video, I take you along on a turnaround day in Sydney, Australia living on Ovation of the Seas! We are so lucky to have Sydney as our home port so I took advantage of my day off to explore Bondi Beach with the girls! I take you along on a typical crew champagne sail away and show you a room tour of one of my cast mates’ newly decorated cabins. I hope you enjoy the video!! 🇦🇺🌊🌏

Despite red, white and blue featuring on our flag, our national colours are actually green and gold. Any time you see us at any major international sporting event, it will generally be in green and gold (it originates from cricket in the early 1900s but has been widely adopted across the board and made official in the mid 80s) Same as how the NZ flag is also red, white and blue but wear black.

I just love the friendship you have with your dance team! Back in the day when I danced (not on a cruise ship though) my dance team and I had the same closeness and friendship and travelled together and it was awesome! Loved Sydney........ Favourite things to do Climb Sydney Harbour Bridge, Enjoyed an outdoor concert on Darling Harbour and took in a Musical in a beautiful Theatre downtown. Strange seeing Sydney in the wind and rain, Great Video keep em coming 🍀😍🍀 Its true what they say you 'll never work a day in your life if your job is your hobby. Continued enjoyment to you all,

Love it! Hope you get more chances to see more of Sydney. Definitely explore the rocks, do the Coogee to Bondi walk, climb the bridge, check out Darling Harbour/Barangaroo or Chinatown.

Next time you’re in Sydney, visit The Rocks just around the corner from Circular Quay terminal. On weekends they have great market stalls! ❤️❤️

We were on Ovation from 21 Feb to 2 Mar (so we got off in Sydney on this turnaround day) and really enjoyed the shows. You guys did a fantastic job. We have seen a few clips of the same productions and think this cast is better. All the best for the remaining season!

Aw I should’ve explained it! It’s the day we “reset” the ship so it’s the day the guests get on and get off! The port where we have a turnaround day is known as our “home port” 🥰

Hi Kristine! I just thought of a question about ship life I don’t believe I’ve seen yet! Sorry if you’ve already answered it somewhere. While on contract, how do you all get your nails, hair, etc. done? Are you able to go somewhere for services like this when you can’t make your regular appointments?

We can always find places in ports!! We tend to find salons at the ports when we have the whole day off so we have time 🥰 We can technically get it done onboard in the spa but it’s veryyy pricey so I always just do it in ports :)

Glad you're enjoying yourself, seems like you have made a great new set of friends on your new ship. Was hoping for some advice please, I'll be cruising soon (first time) on P&O Pacific Encounter (it's supposed to have Starlink internet) just wondering whether you think the onboard internet is worth paying for and would it be good enough to browse a newspaper site? I know, lots of variables and I'm not expecting miracles but just hoping for a little insight from a cruise ship veteran 🙂 Thanks

You will get great wifi cruising as a guest!! Crew don’t get the best wifi but if you are a guest it usually works just as smooth as wifi back home! (Also this is speaking from my experience as a Royal guest only because I’ve never cruised with P&O but should be similar!)

Can you tell us more about a dance captains room? LJ’s looked fancier than the typical room. Obviously, you don’t need to show us LJ’s if she’s not cool with that. But just in general, is it fancier?

That was her boyfriend’s room who has an officer’s cabin! but yes our dance captain gets their own double bed cabin, it’s great! She might make a video of her cabin herself, I’ll share with my subscribers if she does 🥰
