In this video I show you how I take a $4 valance from goodwill and create a corset top from it. I also show you my method for drafting a pattern.

I have a smaller chest so it might be best to experiment with darts to give more room!

Question, should I take my bust measurement with or without a bra? I have 38DD sized breasts so whether or not I wear one affects them pretty significantly.

Hi! I would say take your measurements with your bra as it will ensure a better fit when you're wearing it

How would I have to alter the design if I wanted it to lace up from the sides instead of the back?

My best guess would be use one of the side seams as the placement instead of the back seam it should roughly be the same width, but because it is the side I would also make a lacing panel to go behind it so you'd be more comfortable
