Turning a Garage into a Fish Room to Breed some Exotic Fish

Garage fish rooms are not uncommon but I literally had no idea this was a garage fish room until the tour was almost over! Jason from Jadren Aquatics simply has an amazing fish room. I was blown away and hugely impressive. Every tank had a natural look with shrimp breeding, fancy guppies and even some cute bettas. Jason's favorite fish in his fish room were definitely the cory cats, borneo suckers and the plecos. From rare to common, he had it all!
I definitely plan on making this a yearly trip to see Jason and his fish room! I can't wait to see how far he takes his hobby, his channel and what the future holds for him!

What a bunch of fish nerds... Jason is the man! It was nice to see Jason the subject of a tour for a change. Those Yellow dumbos were incredible! From one Garage Fish Room Nerd (though waaaaay smaller) to another - Great Fish room! And many thanks to Shrimp Nerd Rob for giving a great tour.

I think the concept of a youtube channel is great even if you arent super big. When you have a youtube channel it allows you to set a standard for yourself.

I've been watching alot of jadren aquatics and shrimping with Jen I absolutely love them!!! and I love it when u do these tours ...I'm able to see what others are doing in their fish rooms and it always gives me ideas on my tanks

Just so everybody knows that wants to build their own caves wet tile saws will NOT cut your finger off you would have to jam your finger against it for awhile for it to even burn you!!!

I’m thinking about documenting the experience on KZfaq just like Jadren. He has valid points as to why he does it and I feel it would benefit myself in gaining knowledge and also just recording my hobby.

Texans can have basements just depends if u live near the coast or inland (coast can be way more or not allowed by the city). If you are building your own house and you have the ground tested for clay it will make the build a bit more but If done correctly it is more than possible. Even in the dallas area I have been looking into basements in texas for my own custom home.

For the step when you come in, just paint the upper part with a yellow line and the bottom with a red line. Brush size thickness then you can easily see it.

Why doesn’t anyone promote the beginning Fish keeper having a dirt and sand planted tank. I have one that I have not cleaned or done water changes on in over a year one year. There’s a plant growing out of the top of it. I’m shocked that nobody is pushing this. I would think 75 maybe 8090% of beginning fish hobbies burn out after 468 months maybe one year? Continual water changes. There is an audience to capture. 10 2050 gallon tanks are being given away all the time people sick of the hobby, yet don’t know how to create an awkward, scape and aquarium that will take care of itself.

Sorry. I think your fish room is awesome and you’re not in the position to push planted tanks, but I think it would bring a lot of people into the hobby and keep them there.
