Time for a new project! I'm going to be turning my Kyosho Optima into a Javelin! We take a look at the parts needed for this transformation. Please subscribe so you don't miss it.

Can’t go wrong with the green cage. I did my yellow jacket as an alternative but I do have a white and green cage sitting in the drawer for a rainy day.

I had a hard time deciding between the white and green. The white/red combo looks awesome too. Maybe I should have bought both!

Cool project, literally with that coolmint colour scheme! Those are cool buggies, both. I had heard they are similar, so what you described was interesting info, even though I haven't got any of them. Myself, I got a bit crazy about the Turbo Optima body, I would love to paint that one someday... Looking forward to follow your progress on this. Great video format, I like the pace, not too slow, still easy to keep up.

Hey! Thanks for watching! I would totally recommend you build an optima or javelin if you can, fun build, great running RCs. I love the belt drive, it's so smooth! Yes they are the same chassis, just different body parts and wheels. The turbo optima is awesome too... always wanted one of those myself. 😊

Awesome! I do love the mint green version the best. I have looked at all of it before and I am going to do the dumb thing and end up getting the Javelin by itself. That is if it ever comes back into stock! It seems like Kyosho could make a lot more money if they just made more kits... I am no business major but it just seems to make sense! LOL! Looking forward to the conversion!

I would have definitely bought the javelin if it was available...BUT, I probably wouldn't' keep it stock either way. Green and White are definitely my favorites. I should probably buy the white before Kyosho stops producing them. I know! Why would they not want to sell more kits? Sometimes I think Tamiya and Kyosho are messing with us.

I do like the orange on the vintage one. Since this is the re-release and not an original, I don't feel the need to make it orange...and it's fun trying to make it different and try new color schemes.
