I spent about 30 minutes on this bowl from start to finish. I've tried to clearly show all of the steps, but if you'd like to see a narrated version with some more information let me know!
The wood is some kind of prunus, probably plum.

Thanks, not my original idea but it works nicely. I still use tenon mandrels as well sometimes.

Looked fairly intuitive in terms of the process, and a lovely bowl at the end. I was concentrating for a bit on the lathe itself and there's zero discernable movement. It really is a very solid structure. One of these days I'll get around to making one!

My lathe is far from the sturdiest bowl lathe you'll see. Vibrations become more of an issue when you're turning something larger or something with off-centre mass. Glad you enjoyed it, do make a pole lathe, it's great fun.

Thank you for showing the additional tools that you’ve made for getting down to the core when you near the end of the turning. I noticed that you did some work on the top of the bowl before turning it around to shape the outside. I don’t know if I’ve seen that in a pole lathe bowl turning video before. Does that help to true it up some more, to avoid potential vibration, or something else? Thank you for the great video!

No worries! You don't need the extra tools, they just help with minimising the stub that's left by the core. You see how I got mine nearly flush with the bottom of the bowl. I like to face the top of the bowl first so that there's no guesswork with the outside form. It also means I can turn off any flaws from the top before they potentially become an issue I can't fix!
