3:07 Ok, I know how projections work, how texture generation work, but I don't understand how you go from here to done render in the next second? Do I have to make a screenshot and then add it as a source image or what? In which window I do press the "generate button" in this case?

This is amazing, do you need an amazing computer to make it work though? And how does it look during animation?
@BlackoutCreatively

I'm not sure what the minimum GPU would be, but I'm using a 3060 Ti. I actually regret getting the Ti over the 3060 because the 3060 Ti has 8Gb but the regular 3060 has 12Gb and as I understand it,.the ram is the limiting factor when it comes to resolution. In terms of animation, each frame would be different to the point that (at best) it would look vastly different on each frame. If you were looking to animate I'd probably use it to generate un-changing textures for your models and then animate as normal. A lot of the images I've shown in the video are just an animated cycles pass with a static camera. So you can see how chaotic animation would be. What GPU are you using?

I think they should implement a node based system instead of the text to prompt. you would have finer control.

so you can either generate images to use as textures as normal, or project images directly onto the objects using the colour and/or depth (shack), or feed the final render into the AI using it's depth and/or colour to generate the 2d image (mountain village).

is that source image checkbox essentially img2img? I've been looking for it since Carson said the addon supports it, but I can't find it
@BlackoutCreatively
@BlackoutCreatively Жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure on what the definition of img2img is, but the source image checkbox will influence the output. I don't use it too often to claim to be an expert but from memory you can increase the strength that it influences the output. There's been more updates since this video to the plugin though so depending on when you read may be a feature of a later plugin version

Yeh absolutely. You can simply search huggingface from within the prefs and download the models that you're interested in. All local on your own GPU

sorry but how did you render the scene at 3:10? i followed all of your instructions and when i hit render i don't see any textures show up, it just rendered my scene like normal?
@BlackoutCreatively
@BlackoutCreatively Жыл бұрын
so you need to make sure your dream textures pass is enabled, you selected the correct model etc. you let the scene render as normal, then the dream pass will take the input from the image colour/depth and generate the image. if it doesnt work then check the console to see if there's any clue what the problem is. There's been an update to dream textures recently so it's possible that if you're using the newest version it might work differently. if so maybe ill make another video because there's some pretty decent stuff in the latest update

@@dimigaming6476 What you've been missing is, you have to use nodes in compositing. In render layers there will be new pass, so plug that to the image output.

@BlackoutCreatively
@BlackoutCreatively Жыл бұрын
@@genef3154 the latest version is 0.1.0 . you need to go to your blender preferences and find "Paint: Dream Textures". Twirl down the settings and you'll find "Preferences" section then "Find Models" with two cogs as the icon. it says "Search Hugging Face for more compatible models." if it's not showing like that then maybe it's not installed properly. Uninstall the plugin, then restart blender with "Run as administrator" and try install it again :)

You could try by adding "normal map" to the prompt, but it would be near impossible to get an image that matches there's already software that can convert image to normal map.

I like the concept of AI doing texturing background or texturing you can use it for a brush tool. However, just complete full art work of your art not exactly Art they created, it is AI work.

@BlackoutCreatively
@BlackoutCreatively Жыл бұрын
@@Nuns341 there's two ways - 1 is it uses cycles to create a render of the scene with a Z pass. you then can feed that final image into dream to influence the output of the AI generated image. you can use depth, colour, or depth+colour. The other way is texturing individual objects in the scene directly as textures on the objects. I prefer the former method for generating images personally. Try the prompt "Mountain village, High Detail, Dense Flora, Pixar Style, Hyper realistic, 3D render" as a prompt using just using depth and pick concept art fantasy environment and see how that turns out
