Hopefully in the next months Grimstone will be finally fully 3D, and HexLands will have its cozy little Steam page! :D Thanks guys for sticking by in 2022, you are the reason I'm doing what I'm doing.

Hello Tudvari, been watching you for a long time. I think your new game Hex Lands looks promising and a lot more polished and simpler in scope, so I definitely recommend sticking to that one for the time being. Jugling multiple project is something I can't imagine myself, been working on DW for 5 years and there is still so much to do (especially after the game was released in February and now IOS is coming) :) Anyways, I am looking forward to see more from you.

Hi, good to see you, still sticking by after so long. :D Every now and then I feel insecure about HexLands, so thanks because these comments really boost my motivation! :) I always just try juggling with multiple projects, but after a few back and forth, I always end up with "loving" a project more thus ignoring the others. :D I just always hope that this time it will be different. But that 5 years really paid off! :) I mean I'm not that much familiar with the mobile market, but it looks that DungeonWard is a solid success, and if it expands to iOS you could cash in really well :) Always good to hear from you, still waiting for the next video! :D Cheers!

​@@Tudvari Unless I remake a trailer with new class and potentially new act 2 in the future, I am not making any new videos :P Too much work for no results in terms of downloads etc. Otherwise DW has been a success already for me. Nearing 200K downloads soon, it is making enough money to work part time gamedev now which is something I always wanted as it brings stability from normal daily job + variable income from gamedev and more free time if needed. Being from lower income country also helps with living expenses. I definitely recommend focusing on one thing but I get that you sometimes lack motivation. For me personally I have around 40+ ideas for a next game which might never come as there is still so much to do. Whenever i have a new idea for a game i just write it to the list and try to forget about it. That helps a ton with not skipping to the next shining object :) I think the HexLands looks very promising. Which platforms do you plan? Seems like something that could work on mobile/tablet too where it is easier to get organic downloads and money from ads are also not bad (admob). The downside of steam release is that if you dont hit it during the launch, you probably wont get many downloads afterwards. Mobile seems better as it has a lot longer tail.

​@@DungeonWard Indeed, hopefully I make a bit more money with my next title than with Regrowth and I can work even less at my dayjob (currently I work 4 days). Or at least I will feel that working only 4 days a week for 2 years wasn't for nothing. :D Yes, I have a that kind of list as well. And most likely I will reduce my number of projects for sure. Having 1 project sounds really good right now, because I feel a bit overwhelmed, but we will see how many and which ones I will freeze once HexLands' page is up. Or maybe I won't, because reaching that milestone would give me a huge boost. I plan to release on Windows, Linux & Mac. But if it works, I would love to have gamepad support and then console port. With Grimstone... I won't ship it without gamepad support for sure (and then hope for console port as well) I nearly started working on a mobile port for my previous game because people said it lots of times and I always wanted to try it. But then I got so burned out I guess that I gave up the idea. But it would be easy money, I just need some ad services and voila! But I don't really know how my game will reach people on the Play Store. With Steam at least I get "some" visibility, but on Play Store, I'm not sure. How did you do it? Any advices? I think maybe I'll spend a few weeks on porting my previous game to mobile, it shouldn't be more I think. So at least I will have some experience with a mobile release. And if it wasn't a waste of time, I'll try porting HexLands as well. :D

@@Tudvari it depends on your aso and genre but DW gets around 600 new players daily. Powerlust gets even more.. both are action rpgs/dungeon crawlers. During open beta i was getting about 50 dl a day, was testing google ads to get more from cheap countries. Now i get around 70 czech players for like 100 czk a day. Steam is a lot harder to get any organics as far as I see. My friend released this week Dungeon Faster and deadlier and it seems to get almost no dls based on review count.

@@Shadefrank Oh, so you do use ads to get players? 70 players for 100 czk is pretty good ratio I guess! Are there any stats on how many people find it with and without ads? A quick analysis video would be popular on your channel I think! :)
