Because the concert was on the same day as the ritual to remove the panda spirit from Mei's body and she wanted to keep the panda because of how much fun she's had using the powers.

No, it's because she thought 4*Town were bad influences on Mei, which they aren't, and also steal Mei's heart from Ming. Another reason is that 4 is an unlucky number in Chinese culture, and it means "death." The only one I deem as a bad influence for Mei is Ming herself for what she did.

Actually, by God's grace, that thought was wrong. I believe Mei completely followed her heart and it's no problem with it. I also know 4⭐Town doesn't like their concert to be damaged.

It's also my favorite movie too, and Mei, Miriam, Priya, and Abby were my favorite characters, whom got me attached to their movie in the first place, Tyler is also my favorite, but only after discovering he was a 4*Townie. I'd also include 4*Town in my favorite characters list for this movie, too. Out of all my favorite characters i've known my whole life, Mei, Miriam, Priya, Abby, and Tyler are, by far, my Top #1 favorite characters group on my favorite characters list.

When Mei’s mom was rounding the corner heading to the concert, I actually felt scared, I mean, red eyes glowing in the darkness, walking in the shadows, giant kaiju sized red panda silhouette, yeah, I nearly crapped my pants.

Anyone notice that when Mei is in red panda form and very angry, her K9 teeth become slightly longer and sharper? Freeze frame at 1:46 to see. No wonder it hurt when she bit her mother's finger! Compare this scene to one where Mei is happy.
