Honestly, hardware and optimizations are so good nowadays, I could see this scene being rendered in real time as a video game, Pixar should really make more video games.

Unnecessary fact: The first set of music you can hear clearly is from Pikmin 3 deluxe, while your fighting the final monster know as the Plasm Wraith, you can still hear it throughout the video.
