Saw it Saturday at the LATFOB preview. The movie is very much true to the book; the few changes (IMO) actually made the story better, incredibly.

this feels good. when i read this book i felt seen. my anxiety practically controls my life and my thoughts are never ending. yearning for an ounce of freedom from your own mind is an everyday battle since i was 14. this is helpful

I can relate to all of this. I hope I can go one day without giving into a ritual. It's always easy to say from outside perspective but It's really tough to go through. I wish you well and hope nothing but the best for you! They are just thoughts that come and go but yet we feel stuck in a constant loop with our fears. Take it one day at a time and try not to give in your own mind. They are just thoughts. "Oh wells" are better than "What ifs"

As someone who lives with OCD and has read the book this movie will hopefully shed more light on what some people actually go through. OCD is not an adjective or a quirk because the reality of it is that It's a debilitating disorder.

As someone else with ocd, I don’t know anyone in my life who thinks like me except for my dad and some adhd friends, so it’s really nice to be able to have a movie to show my friends what it’s like, and to my mum so she can understand why I’m so dibilitated all the time. It really helps Me feel less alone especially since I’ve had these mental breakdowns so many times before

just finished the book literally like 10 minutes ago. as a person with both an anxiety disorder and ocd the author wrote them very well, he really understood. i hope the movie is just as good as the book

This film is going to be so hard to watch. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression and grew up with constantly overthinking and worrying, this will hit. I have the book but haven't read it yet, this gives me a bit more insight of what it's going to be about. So excited!

i wish this explored pure O ocd (internal compulsions and not external compulsions)especially if it’s a romance movie too , pure O is very hard too and not many people know that this is a common trait of ocd and not just obsessing over jerms , it’s also a stigma that people w ocd only worry about germs and being organized and locking the door LOL

Just so you know this is a movie, not a tv series. Nowadays, trailers for tv shows looks just like movie trailers, and when they premier on streaming channels, it's sometimes hard to tell what is what.

I can explain the pressure in my chest when I saw this trailer especially the part about the intimate things in a relationship because GOD that something that really scares me some times when I think about that and I never really been in a relationship but thats my point. And thats what makes feel scared cause, I have autism and there are sometimes when I don't like the fisic contact even if I'm close to this person. So I've always dream about having this beautiful first realtionship with an amazing guy but this kind of little things are going to happen and I want them to happen but at the same time I don't know how to feel or how am I supposed to react or like... AKAHDKHFAKJDSA I DON'T KNOW DUDE HELP

People with OCD get through life. It is a struggle. They have their days where they are in control, they have their days when OCD is in control. The author and the producers know and understand this very well. The movie, if you see the whole thing, portrays this very seriously and thoughtfully.

Я не до конца смогу понять персонажа, но я брезгливая и бывают неприятные моменты. А от мыслей никуда не убежишь. Очень сочувствую людям с такой проблемой. Таких людей могут понять лишь те кто испытывал на себе что это такое. Хорошо, что у меня тревожные мысли были , очень миленький период. Но узнав какого это. Я начала ценить время без этого.

It's in there. The movie is quite true to the book (I got to see the preview Saturday) and the few changes made actually made it better (IMO, and John voiced his support for them as well in the panel discussion that followed). I don't think you'll be disappointed.
