The issue I see is that if the leveling clip raises a tile it will be pulling it up from the set binder that has already been pushed down. I see cracks forming do to no backing support. You to ONLY push down never ever raise up off the set binder. However if a weighted roller with gaps in the roller could roll over all the tiles making sure they ALL are in contact with the set binder then okay. All would be well.

I have a question....how to apply more pressure to the clip if needed? Seems as though once the bottom of the clip meets the bottom of the tile it applies the same pressure to each tile which wont work in any situation unless floor is perfectly flat.
@ParallelEnterprises
@ParallelEnterprises 3 жыл бұрын
There is different clips for different tile thickness. So in example when you use the 10mm clip on 10mm tile there is enough tension/pressure to make all tiles lipless.

Hi, I tried these Tuscan spacers. I give them a "C". the Tuscan seamclips did give me the correct spacing...BUT- they have flaws. they break off in the groove, they DO NOT level the tile as the video shows, (my tile is 3/8 thick, so I used the red seamclips...the seam clips were too easy to squeeze and did not fully level each tile) so, I'm left with most tiles having lippage now! ...DO NOT USE...DON'T WASTE THE MONEY!!

I learned tiling from two old school tile and terrazo master tile workers. Both italian. Surfaces were left level and true. Nowdays, too many labor workers want a gimmick and a cheat, to forgo experience and earned skill. That is why so many jobs of late are crummy. Shitty workers, with even crummier skill sets.

No good,unless the substrate is completely level,or you're going to have voids underneath. If underneath is level...you shouldn't need them.
@alsibal6834
@alsibal6834 9 жыл бұрын
Not really. With big tiles from 60x60cm and up, there tend to be slight lippage between tiles that will catch your shoes, even if you start with a reasonably level base. This is a good product, especially if they can make it inexpensive.
@manonamountain

Sorry,but a professional tiler should be able to lay a floor without lippage...and without gimmicks.
@octojofoJR
@octojofoJR 8 жыл бұрын
+manonamountain Yes, as a professional I sure can! Just takes a LOT of time and I will NEVER get it this perfect. As far as coverage it isn't an issue- Back buttering the tiles is required. I use a 1/4 inch notch for floor and tile. I have had to pop up a set tile after only a few hours and the dense cross-hashed thin-set was as full volume coverage as I have ever witnessed. People without experience with a product should really just keep their erroneous suppositions to themselves.
@renaissancemen1
@renaissancemen1 7 жыл бұрын
octojofoJR THANK YOU!!!! I'm so tired of the "void of thinset" bullshitters. 1/2x1/2 notch and back butter. No voids. And I can just set tiles now. No worries and keeps people off the floor. And if they do walk on it, doesn't ruined the job. Win all around.
