Breathtaking - there has to be other tombs with wonders still waiting ! The beauty & detail is magnificent 👌🏽 imagine how Howard Carter felt seeing it all for the first time in 3000 years just incredible.
@LofiCameron Жыл бұрын
The likelyhood of us finding ANOTHER tomb unlooted is immensely unlikely, 1000's of years a most importantly during the fall people in the know would have looted, the ones they missed 1000's of years of people exploring to find it. I myself would search if I was in the area so imagine 1000-2000 years ago when things were actually there to find commonly

Having been to the museum in Cairo it’s absolutely breathtaking to see the hundreds of objects on display. Yes of course the jewels and gold are wonderful but it’s the everyday items, like his chair he used as a child, his personal furniture , his various furniture items, his clothing his toys the games he played. It brings you back to the fact he was only 18 when he died. Most amazing thing for me was his lion bed - such an awesome grand piece and so high off the ground it’s stunning. Thnx for sharing

And Tut wasn't even one of the most prolific pharaohs. Imagine what was stolen from some of the other burial sites. But we will never know.

Actually he was, and it is believed there was so much gold in his tomb because he returned Egypt to a religious place. His dad actually banned all gods except one, and he returned the gods, and they believe his tomb has so much because it was basically a present from the people to thank him. I doubt there were other tombs with treasures like his tomb. Even the way his caskets are done is different than all other mummies ever found, he was clearly special to them. He even had three mask, and no other pharaohs have been found with more than one. They also covered him differently than other mummies. No doubt about it he was one of the most important pharaohs ever, we just do not have his life details, but we have very little history on other pharaohs either.
@chrisgullett43322 жыл бұрын
@@kevindunbar3685 No they did not. Tut lived over 1400 years before Jesus, so Tut was long gone by the time Jesus came around. The closest pharaoh to Jesus would have been Cleopatra, cause she was the last pharaoh of Egypt, and even she was dead before Jesus came around. Cleopatra would have been dead for at least 25 years before Jesus was around. No pharaoh was alive when Jesus walked the Earth. Tut has been dead for almost 3500 years, Jesus lived around 2000 years ago, so Tut had zero to do with Jesus. Moses supposedly lived around the same time as Tut, and many people think that Moses was actually the Egyptian pharaoh Thutmose the 3rd, who was Tut's great great grandfather. Yes that is true, some experts do believe parts of the story of Moses match up to Thutmose the 3rd.

ione Barbosa Ancient Egypt civilization was the greatest in the ancient world. Too bad present day Egypt is pretty much useless. The same can be said for most of the ancient world's greatest civilizations that are still around today. Everyone from Egypt to Greece, they were once great powerful nations but are nothing now. Sad indeed.

+ione Barbosa I agree, they were the most beautiful of all the ancient civilizations as far as their art was concerned and their craftsmanship. Beside early Asian art, they were number 1 as far as I am concerned. The detail is awesome and it lasted for century's. There is also a mystic about Egyptian art and the Pyramids.

Not only are the treasures exquisitely crafted, stunningly beautiful but the condition and preservation of it is astonishing! Most of the pieces shown looks as if they were used yesterday! Literally, YESTERDAY! UNBELIEVABLE! My understanding is that King Tut was buried in a hurry. If that’s true, can you imagine what the tomb of a longer reigning pharaoh must have looked like? If equally undisturbed, the quality and vastness of the treasures that would have been found? The craftsmanship of these pieces, thousands of years ago, blows my mind!

How the people of their time built such large sculptures and pyramids and and created such beautiful drawings found in the tombs is amazing. To be able to see these things in videos is great, but I can just imagine that there would be no greater feeling than to actually physically be there, present when such great artifacts, tombs, etc. are unearthed/discovered and to be able to touch them with your own hands.

Did you know, Tut's grandpa was Amenhotep III...another title was Nebumatre...Nebu=Gold. Matre(ya) is the next Buddha. Did you know, at Saqqara, in Hall of kings, is image of Ptah recieving offering from Thutmose III. Behind Ptah stands Sokar and Amun. ShakaMuni Buddha. NOW you know.

China's pyramids were lumps of dirt. And the proposed biggest never finished. The emperors in China abused their people and riots would consistently breakout and the Chinese mounds became smaller affairs. Until the Chinese Emperors decided to hide their burial sights as the Egyptians later did. So far, it appears the Egyptians did it without much coercion and somewhat fair compensation unlike the brutality of the first few Chinese dynasties. And Egyptians are Egyptians, not Chinese.

I saw a lot of these treasures at the Tutankhamun exhibit when it traveled to New Orleans in '77. I think the treasures belong in Egypt, but with all the political upheaval over there, how SAFE are they going to be ? I know I'm probably going to get at least a couple of comments calling me a " hater " or something else, but it's a legitimate question.
