No. He writes in a paper in 2016: "The pyramid should not be interpreted to mean that business is expected to fulfil its social responsibility in some squential, hierarchial fashion starting at the base. [...] [T]he total social responsibility of business entails the concurrent fulfillment of the firm's economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities." (p. 6)
