In this tutorial we are showing you how to wire and configure Elektron Analog Four to CV sequence external gear. In this case we are controlling a Moog Mother-32 with an Analog Four. The same fundamental goes with other CV controllable gear as well. Should you have anything to ask, just leave a comment below.

This is great it would be nice to see more on how to get both Analog 4 with Octatrack and modular gear working and playing together.

I would love to see more tutorials on the Analog Four. Maybe a tutorial about creating drones or any weird mechanical/industrial sound. Also would like to see a tutorial on tuning a external synth with the analog four! Loving the tutorials so far!!!

does the Analog 4 have storage capacity to sample and replay the modular gear or would I need to have an Octatrack hooked up for that duty?

@@GuitarsAndSynths analog 4 doesn't sample or play sample, it's "just" a synth :)

God bless women for being so thoughtful and thorough. Actually showing the cables as you did,... it's extremely helpful for newbs and often overlooked these days. Oftentimes, what is not shown (cables, adaptors, connections) is as important as a devices features.

If you were to play the Mother 32 using the Elektron as in this video, but also had the Mother 32's MIDI In connected to an audio interface, would the played notes show up as MIDI?

My Analog 4 keyboard is sending note info to the Moog but not the sequencer, channel a will not stay on cv keeps reverting to src.

I’m trying to do this for my Minibrute 2, I managed to get the gate input working (A4 keyboard triggers the last played note on MB2) but pitch control doesn’t work. I’ve tried plugging it in to a few different inputs on my patch bay - Pitch, sync (under VCO1), CV (under VCA)… nothing seems to work :(

Analog 4 does not sequence MIDI afaik. You'll need octatrack for that, or any other sequencer.

are the CV/gate track/s seperate from the 1-4 internal synth tracks? or does the CV/gate track chew up the internal 1-4 tracks?

Analog Four can only control external gear with CV, not Midi, so no you can't. There might be some workaround with some CV to Midi converter though.

Will this work with the Microfreak? If so, how?
