Thanks for sharing, could you please bring an example with overhang, so the lasy purling is out of frame

I had issues with the orientation or the columns and beams when i tried to continue adding structure. Anyone else?

This is great! How do you create a formula for the purling spacing?
@livefromtheloft5015 Жыл бұрын
has anyone had any luck in creating this formula yet?

How can I check an existing model. Whether the parameters are according to minimum, if not then it will highlight the element

sounds like you want to set up a view filter or perhaps a conditional formula in a schedule.

That was so helpful, how can i calculate the weight of this structure in dynamo?
@RevitStructureBlog6 ай бұрын
You can do that in Revit. Take the density of steel multiplied by the volume in a schedule as a calculated value.

HI - I have a set of posts and beams, their spans, loads, etc. I'm looking to create a dynamo script that has sliders in it that takes into account various items, span, building height, wind loads, beam loading, etc. The use case is this. As a user I want to interact with dynamo sliders to adjust building length, height, width, wind load, seismic load, roof pitch, and building spans to automate the selection of posts and beams to be used in construction. There could also be an option to select, most cost effective solution vs. most clear span solution. The "formula" would look at all of the post and beam components and select the "right" combination based on the above to come up with a post and beam package that "works" for said design. Is this possible?

Hi, I think the simple answer is that everything is possible if you have enough time. However, if you have access to Robot Structural Analysis then you can use the calculation engine of Robot for the design.

Please can you do part 2 progressing the coding.
@RevitStructureBlog2 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, I guess the Part 2 would be focussing on the cold rolled steelwork placement.

Hi...how do we brace column?
@RevitStructureBlog2 жыл бұрын
You can take the start and end points of the column and use this to place the bracing. If you want different configurations you could use points placed at ratios along the column.

Is there any way to apply wally types and roof types to this script?
@RevitStructureBlog10 ай бұрын
Hi, you could also add those with Dynamo . I have just concentrated on the steel frame here
@hu5tle-10 ай бұрын
@@RevitStructureBlog I have the walls figured out, but not the roof. That seems to only be able to be done manually. I've done a comprehensive search on this and haven't found a solution yet.

Way to fast. Slow down and speak more clearly. Be consistent. Copy and rename before moving on. Explain each step. Grouping nodes will make the tutorial more organized and gives you a chance to further explain. Nice tutorial, but it made my blood pressure go up from rewinding 10 times on step where you didn’t name the slider.
