I think the best part about the tutorial video is that anyone can pause it and follow it on their own pace, they can check the tools he uses and what not. If he would be any slower I would have lost interest right at the beginning. Not everyone has the same tic rate, I think the video is perfect.

you can't use pen pressure with a mouse, because there's no pen. you need a graphics tablet and pen.

+DylanGames depends on the tablet. Huion and Turcom are pretty much identical in many respects, the TS-6610 and the H610 are exactly the same in every way. If your tablet has an identical twin, try the drivers from the other company. The differences can likely fix it. I learned that about my Turcom because it is exactly the same, and customer care explained Huion is the software developer for it. I'm not sure which of the two companies made the hardware, but they joined together into some form of partnership and the created two identical products with slightly different drivers that do the same tasks. You will likely see a box that can be checked called "Support TabletPC" That specifically enables pressure sensitivity. If it is not checked, check it and see if that fixes the problem. If it is greyed out and you cannot select it, you probably have a bad driver for your tablet. Make sure you get the latest one for your OS from the company website that has their name on your tablet. And if that doesn't work seek out the driver from the identical tablet of the other company, that might work too. Otherwise, contact tech support. Turcom was very helpful for me with my $50 tablet.

I had trouble with that part too. Ends up you have to change the setting of the magic rubber on the top. The "sample all layers" has to be checked. And the you erase on the coloured layer. Hope it helps and it is not late.

Show every detail not breeze through cuz its "Easier" even if its for more professionals do it as a Reminder or just incase. Even a pro could get confused whats going on if its zoomed by. Want my advice? Try messing around with photoshop first. Try taking an image already made and tweaking it. You shouldn't just jump in. Try and learn more about photoshop before learning how to drop in it.

+Alvaro Nunez Easily. Digital "Intuos" way is for sketches at home, sketchbook way is ouside your comfort zone and when you have an idea, whoop, pick up your packed sketchbook and draw. Then scan it (or take a photo of it, technology is advanced enough, anyways.) and digitize it. Simple. ;-)

Nevermind, I was upset while posting that, LoL I bought Wacom tablet less than a week ago and didn't even have much time to practice - yet somehow I expected best results ;) It's all cool, many thanks for the tutorial!

Andriej69 Not sure if you can allready draw on paper or if you start out completly new. I'm from a standpoint of "completly new" but after trying out my tablet, I unplugged it and went on to learn to draw with a mouse, until one day I was tired of jagged lines and tried the tablet again. Granted I was basically in a motivational trance and messed around with it for about 10 hours straight (after a 10 hour work day...yeah I'm crazy sometimes) and now I don't want to miss it again.

I can draw on paper, but I'm self taught mostly. When I was training with Kirby, I wasn't used to tablet yet, and photoshop too. Fortunately some practice allowed me to effectively use functions showed in this video. Small thing, this Kirby, but priceless ;) Uploader deserves +1000 internetz for this. Probably best basic tutorial I've found on KZfaq
