Is it possible my lap top is not detecting the port (when plugged into the car) due to that 32 or 64 bit box that needs checking during the installation? It detects and say ok when not plugged into the car but then it cant detect when plugged into the car. I cant get passed the test. please help thank you. Forrest

The free version that works with the cheap eBay adapters only works on k-line cars. So basically mk3s and some mk2s.

Keeps saying interface not found. Tried all the usb ports and resinstalled the vcds still have that problem. Whats the cause of that

The cheapo ebay ones will work with the free version on Mk3s. Anything newer and you need the real thing.

Hey, is this a trial or is it the full program, i read a little of the discription on the website and it was talking about a hardware interface, do i need to get another program for this to work, thanks

Its the full version. There is no trial of vcds. The interface cable and program are a package deal. The cable has a built in authentication system that works with the software.
