This tutorial helped so much! I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this loop thing. But I have a really dumb question... I was wondering if you use a special kind of tape because when I was doing mine the strings would always pop out of the tape and it’s very annoying. I know it’s a dumb question but worth a shot

Maddie Gaworski it’s not a dumb question! I use regular scotch tape, but usually I use a clipboard:) tape just looks better in video. And I’m so glad I could help you!!

Could you do this with just like a candy stripe design? Like does it have to be a triangle or could it just be a straight line?

Riley Johnson it could be anything! Again, you don’t have to do the “fancy start”. You could just start doing the pattern after the loop! Hope that helped:)

Ainsley Crimmin you can for sure do them with alphas! Just make sure there is an even amount of strings

when you first begin the loop do u go backward twice? i knew you said backward forward knots but does that mean make a backward knot and the a forward knot? i’m sorry i’m just getting confused because i couldn’t see what you were doing really

Becca Rose Hey! Yes it does mean a backward knot and then a forward knot. You can check out my tutorial on my tiktok called “basic knots” if you need a refresher
