TUTORIAL: How to Remove / Replace & Clean Nissan Qashqai, Renault Megane 1.5 dci EGR valve -12 steps

Renault Megane, Renault Laguna, Renault Kangoo, Renault Clio, Renault Modus, Dacia Duster, Dacia Logan, Nissan Qashqai, Nissan Juke, 1.5 dci (106 CP) EGR valve replacement, removal or cleaning in 12 simple steps.
You must change or clean the EGR when:
- The car doesn't accelerate the same as before
- the car emits more exhaust smoke than usual
- the Check Engine indicator has appeared on the instrument cluster display
- an error check with a car diagnosis will tell you that you have a problem with the EGR valve
Required tools:

- 8 mm socket or wrench
- ratchet
- small flat blade screwdriver

Nice video. Looks like a straightforward job. Don’t use your valuable wrench and a hammer to knock things loose, especially if it’s a remove and clean job. Bashing your ratchet on the wrench will damage the internals.

My egr was ugly and had 10x the buildup of this video. This week my alternator happened to fail getting 12.7v down to 10v. So replaced it along with a new batt.. removed my egr only to see so much gunk. Back when i first bought my car i checked the egr and build up was very similar to yours. Just a little build up around the edges. Put on 100xxxkm later build up was so bad i loss power and had high fuel consumption.. but once cleans i can finally feel the power even though my 110hp version is still considered slow but night and day difference once cleaned

My question is that my EGR valve does not work at all and the car does not start at all? I remove the EGR and plag it but when i turn the key to on EGR valve does not open...and the car does not start? EGR if it doesnt open can that prevent the car from starting?
