I've been struggling with this issue for a while trying to overwrite linpus linux on an acer with windows 10. I've tried everything with the bios, it never gave me the windows screen or press any key. So I found out there is no "press any key". You just have to press a key. That sucks, a complete piece of bulllshit in a simple setup. Anyways, thanks to your video at 3:21 I got the idea. Thanks! EDIT: you explained it very well, even with a playful attitude. I hope you can help more people with these tutorials, as they are extremly easy even for newbies I believe to understand. Good luck on your journey through the wonderful world of youtube!

I have done this and I get to the point where it says "Press any key to boot from CD" and it simply then just gets stuck on a black screen for a while then after that it tries to boot but it can't because my computer is in a bootloop. Fuck my life.

Hi I'm new to this and have a couple questions. If you have to reboot because Windows loaded, is that when you should try another key? Or it could still be the same key? Also, if you have to use a USB instead, can you use a 1TB hard drive in place of a USB? and if so, does the flashdrive/hardrive have to be new/cleared prior to putting the installation instructions on it? is the second boot device in the original boot priority the option that should be selected to make the flash drive bootable?

@xvi32 well i cant tell you why without knowing your system a little better. Did that recue cd come with the computer? how many cd/dvd drives do you have. What is the computer doing? what model is the computer? major brand or custom? Many things that need to be know to answer your question.

if a CD with the OS is not included Though the OS has been coped to dedicated segment of the Hard Drive how may one produce a boot able OS OEM CD from this hard drive copy. Why ? in event the hard drive becomes corrupt requiring a complete reformatting with a clean reloading of the OS?
