Error Correction! I say in my video that only the United States uses Miles all other countries use Kilometers, but I was wrong!!!
I later learned that the United Kingdom, Liberia, Myanmar, and the United States all use Miles.

The latitude and longitude coordinates can be handy here in the US, too. Where I live, there are many townships that kind of intertwine with each other. Sometimes the house number and street name will remain the same, but the city name will change owing to postal coverage restructuring. I am stuck with old maps, so getting my GPS to find an address can be dicey. There are a lot of websites that will convert an address to coordinates (Google maps will do it). Once you enter those the GPS always knows where you are trying to go, even if the address or zip code has changed since the last map update.

hey, i just got a nuvi 200 and i have been trying to input my current city location into it, but whenever i i turn on the map it's always in barcelona. any idea on how to update the map?

Hi, you need to use garmin web updater software to update the GPS fix. Then after that you will need to go outside and let the GPS received fresh Satellite signals, and you should be all set.

You can get free maps for online GPS forums, however they are very risky as they are full of viruses and malware. One of them is gpsundergrund

this is interesting, my dad asks me to help him to fix this garmin nuvi 200w that cannot connect to the satellite and I found this youtube link here, well if you are still here to assist hope you can share to me how to get this old system to work.

Greetings, the first thing you need to do is get " Garmin Web Updater " from the Garmin website and install it on your PC. Then connect the old Garmin GPS using a Mini USB Cable to your PC and run the Garmin Web Updater software to fully update it. Once all the updates are complete it should find the satellites with no problems. For the first time it may still take up to 15 minutes to find satellites but after that, it will only take seconds.

Saludos!! al conectar mi nuvi200 en el auto se coloca en modo pc y al desconectar trabaja normal. me refiero a q debo tenerlo conectado por poca vida de la bateria. es normal esto? Gracias!

Greetings, this is due to a loose USB Port inside the GPS. You have to take it apart and solder the USB Port. I have a video on that which might help you. Thanks Saludos, esto se debe a un Puerto USB suelto dentro del GPS. Tienes que desarmarlo y soldar el puerto USB. Tengo un video sobre eso que te puede ayudar. Gracias
