Hi, sir. Byme-A supports standard SBUS or PPM signal. So could you please make sure that your spektrum receiver supports standard SBUS or PPM signal? If yes, it can work with Byme-A. Sorry we have no tutorial of Byme-A and other radio, but you can refer to this tutorial: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bshghbeK3LWcias.html In this tutorial, you can also know how to use other radio with Byme-A. In general, you just need to assign a 3 position switch for channel 5, and a 2 position switch for channel 7. For the sound, could you please contact the seller of the transmitter to know more about how to use the sound function? If any question about RadioLink products please feel free to contact us. You can reverse and make sure the direction is correct in transmitter at first. Then if the gyro is reversed in Byme-A, you can reverse in Byme-A. Have you tried connecting with the ELRS receiver? Four modes work well (Stabilize Mode, Gyro Mode, Acrobat Mode, Manual Mode, Vertical Mode), and two more (Acrobat Mode, Manual Mode) are buggy... Apparently due to the feature of ELRS. Haven't found a solution yet.

Hi, sir. Byme-A supports standard SBUS or PPM signal. If your ELRS receiver can support standard SBUS or PPM signal, they can work together. May I know what you mean that the two flight modes are buggy? What happened in these two modes? You can send more details such as a video to after_service@radiolink.com.cn

@@Radiolink_official With the help of the SBUS checker, I determined that the problem lies in channel 5. In elrs, this is arm, i.e. only 2 positions, and for Byme-A you need 3. You need the ability to reassign channel 5 to another. Is it technically possible? I would not want to abandon Byme-A, but there are more and more elrs receivers. If you need a video, I'll try to make it.

@@vovvw Hi, sir. For Byme-A, channel 5 and channel 7 are assigned to switch flight modes by default. It is written in the program of Byme-A, and cannot be changed. You just need to assign a 3 position switch to channel 5, and a 2 position switch in the transmitter to channel 7 to change flight modes. But first, you need to make sure the receiver supports standard SBUS and PPm signal. If it can, Byme-A can work with the receiver. If any question please feel free to contact us. @@Radiolink_official Unfortunately, in ELRS receivers, channel 5 is rigidly tied to ARM, i.e. only 2 positions. There are no problems with SBUS, everything works. Swap channels 5 and 7 and everything would work correctly. Is it possible to replace the firmware with Byme-A?

Very good video - thanks for being so thorough. I've just bought a BYME-D to try out on cheap delta wing but might get the BYME-A for some of my planes if all works well. Can I ask whether you find the gains are more or less ok (ie no excessive bobbing, wing waggling) because I can't see an obvious way of adjusting the gains on these (unlike some receivers on the market that have three knobs/screws you can turn to adjust)?
@Radiolink_official
@Radiolink_official Жыл бұрын
Hello, sir. Sorry you cannot adjust the gains with the knob. Because there is already stability margin for Byme-D PID control. So you cannot adjust it. When you use different models, if the gyro of Byme-D is under correct or over correct, you can try adjusting the rudder angle on your plane. If any question please feel free to contact us. Mostly for smaller craft (under 1meter) they seem to work pretty well. The only way to reduce gain, if you find your plane oscillating, is with the servo/control horn geometry. Also try to avoid using the closest inner holes for the wires as any slop in the holes is magnified. Also note that the Oriental languages all seem to habitually use "rudder" as a synonym for "control surface" or even sometimes "rates" - as in "big rudder" or "small rudder". The Byme-D works well enough but can sometimes show some very weird behaviour on the bench. See the videos by "1nformatica" plus, as "Ground Control RC" has shown, the elevator travel to aileron travel ratio can be a bit restrictive for some Deltas. Hopefully Radiolink will adjust the PIDs to correct these oddities with further version releases.

Bit late coming to the party here but in my experience on each of three models I have used BYME D gyro's they have produced unusable amounts of oscillation. Had to remove each of them as playing with the control horns did not resolve the issue. With regards to the BYME A gyro however, I find these perfect for my requirements.

An excellent video tutorial Nick. Only 2 things could have improved it. The audio level was a bit low. Secondly you should have emphasized the importance of doing the set-up in the correct order. 1. Level calibration. 2. Gyro stabilization correction direction adjustment with the button. 3. Setting the stick control directions in the transmitter! With ALL these cheap Chinese stabilizer units changing the stabilization correction direction ALSO changes the stick direction. Changing the stick direction has NO effect on the gyro correction direction! So adjust the sticks LAST!

The instructions state that if the rudder deflections are too large, the rudder control should be changed. Does this gyro have no effect on the dual rate settings in the transmitter?
@Radiolink_official
@Radiolink_official Жыл бұрын
Hi, sir. If the gyro is too sensitive, you only need to adjust the position of the aileron servo arm buckle to solve. It's recommended to adjust the position and move the mounting hole to the center. If it still wobbles, you could move the position to the left. For dual rate (travel of the channel), you can adjust it in the transmitter. Appart from this everything appears to work as expected. I have however not yet been flying with the setup. Any suggestions how to avoid this? I have the Byme-A ver. 2.
