Southern states usually have “snow ball stands” where they make powder ice and put syrup of all kinds of different flavors. I get just the shave ice jumbo cup for 3$ I go everyday sometimes twice a day. So decided to invest in my own machine.

ReadyIce is my favorite brand of packaged ice. Their ice cubes seem softer and easier to chew than other brands. Great video!

Make sure your blender is cold.. put it in the freezer for a while before you blend your ice ❄️❤️💯

A tip for if you want extra flavor you can add sugar and vanilla, it makes it taste like ice cream 😋. Have fun making this

What type of blenders do you guys use? I got a Oster classic blender 5 speed 700 watts blender and my ice came out more snow-cone-ish than powdery ice-ish 😭

You could also freeze the plate and then put the powdered ice onto there if u don’t want to risk melting

Your Blender has to be cold.. keep it in the freezer for a while before you blend your ice ❄️❤️💯

Does the type of ice you ice affect the way it’ll come out? I used regular freezer ice cubes and my ice came out like snow cone ice

No it will not but it’s preferable to use small one and make sure the ice is not melty it as to be a little hard and cold

It is hard to get that exact consistency without a blender, but you can try using a manual snow cone maker or get yourself a Lewis bag and mallet (a Lewis bag is a canvas bag you put ice in and then pound with a mallet.

Any blender will do just make sure you freeze your blender before you blend your ice.. I keep my blenders in the freezer. 😊

Ali Iceberg I have a standard blender but my only concern is the cord freezing? It’s attached to the blender. Do you think that makes a difference or will hurt? Love your videos!

@@krystalgee1406 I think she means freeze the clear container part only with the blade. The base with the cord to plugin that is electric should not be frozen, can cause a shortage.
