Eun-gyeol, a seemingly ordinary high school student, leads a clandestine double life. By day, he is a model student, but by night, he becomes a guitarist for a band in Hongdae. Unexpectedly, he travels back in time. Together, they form a band called 'Watermelon Sugar' and forge a deep bond. Along the way, Eun-gyeol encounters an enigmatic girl and falls in love. This tale intertwines elements of coming-of-age, fairytales, and magic, creating a captivating story of growth and self-discovery.

When they said they enjoyed the scenes where they were performing, I could feel the genuine emotions from them. This drama awakens my old youth once again. It’s just so fun to watch it because they were really having fun with one another. I really respect the director for making such a great impact drama. The romance, friendships and family blends in extremely well. I’m surprised I love the drama that I rewatched it a few times. Waiting for the last two episodes though I didn’t want it to end tbh! ❤

My favorite scenes in Twinkling Watermelon are of these two actors, Ryeoun and Hyunwook. They made their viewers feel all types of emotions but unique POV that Eungyeol allowed us to experience was how were his parents’ life growing up. Feeling their heartaches was really painful for the child to see and witness 😭😭😭 It made us appreciate our parents more ❤️❤️❤ This is the first time I’ve watched Ryeoun and he’s a very excellent actor 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. It’s a fresh and great discovery for me. All the main cast did very well, too, and have very good track record in theri performances so far 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The casting director did very well on the selection of the main cast, all the cast if I may say.

i guess Hyunwook's prayer worked cause now Ryeoun has been casted in weak hero S2 but unfortunately we might not see Hyunwook in S2 whch is so sad, i need Hyunwook in S2 as well
