I restored 21 original Kellogg commercials that were aired on The Adventures of Superman in 1954. In 1988 I was working with DC Comics on the fiftieth anniversary of Superman and talked Kelloggs in letting us use the spots in the Superman DVD Box set with George Reeves.

He was "Clark Kent, the star of Superman." Nobody even mentioned that he was George Reeves.

Back then cereal companies were more honest about their cereals. Sugar Pops became Corn Pops. Sugar Smacks>>>Honey Smacks. In truth, no matter the name, the cereals still contain the same amount of sugar.

What an excellent forum for propagate sugar sugar😵😵 like cigarettes ads in the 50s. How many of these men had high cholesterol or high blood sugar content. Did any of them die from those ingredients God so many are hooked sugar to this very day unfortunately

Sugar was better than all the chemical preservatives that later were added to foods, including the addition of female hormones.

John Hamilton who played Perry White died in October 1958. How would Superman have handled his death if the show had continued.

That's what I understand, also. Pierre Watkin was going to play Perry White's brother, who was filling in while Perry was "on assignment." However, the death of George Reeves put an end to the plans for filming another season of the Adventures of Superman. @@markfowler3057

lovely innnocent time. And yes it was healthy, because they did not have SUPERSIZE and their diet was filled with base foods and macro proteins like meat poultry eggs and such. Thats why there werent a lot of obese people back then.

Yes, obesity problems started when kids were diagnosed with nonsense behavioral diseases and treated with chemicals to slow them down and make them lethargic. Add video games to that, plus excess female hormones in their diet, and boys became obese, effeminate, basement dwellers.
