So even if it wasn't something that was in the script, it's something that they interpret from their characters and their relationship

@@Cecc98 She said they added easter eggs as a bit of fanservice to the shippers, but it's not in the script. They didn't even realize it was going to be a thing when they filmed their S1 scenes, people just randomly started shipping them together because they liked their chemistry.

Funny and interesting fans started shipping Aemond and Helaena just from little scenes in S1 they're both standing next to each other and a bit of Helaena touching Aemond's hand 😂 they did not even have words to talk with each other on screen. I get it the appealing. This ship does not need kiss or sex like Daemyra, I think to see Aemond showed his concern to Helaena because Jaeherys death will be enough to hype the attention.

She has great chemistry with both Ewan and Tom, just like Ewan and Tom together too 😂 but different vibes. Phia and Tom are like chaotic siblings, while Phia and Ewan have this warm best friends vibe.

I think the writers are going to make Daemon the devil on Rhaenyra's shoulder. And thus he have to be stripped of some good qualities - the deleted hugging scene after Leana's selfdracarys. They intended to show Rhaenyra as flawless in this war as possible. All bad and too distracting actions are gonna be Daemons fault. That's why there is no Nettle - no bonding for Daemon and Rhae wouldn't order girl head, than Daemon's. Devil really in details. And when you know the original story in some degree you can see those butterflies that causes hurricane later in that tapestry on TV

We'll get an explanation of it this season it seems. Daemon is team black but a lot of his problems are similar to Team green. Like his relationships. Remember he never got love from the only male figure in his life his brother. His parents died when he was young. Viserys and Daemon had an infant brother called Aegon who died in infancy. I am so excited for Daemon's arc this season.

Feeler is not the same as empathetic. Having some seeds of compassion doesn't really qualify as empathic as well. I mean, he does have compassion in him as was shown during petition hearing; but he also r*d people who probably begged jim not to...

Yeah, I thought Baela was supposed to be a daddy's girl, while Rhaena was closer to Laena with Daemon ignoring her since she didn't have a dragon. If Baela has a strained relationship with him why we were given a scene where Daemon teaches her High Valyrian, which is implied to be a regular thing, and why is it Baela who writes to him warning about Vaemond's plans concerning Driftmark? (once again she writes to her *father*, not Rhaenyra who she is apparently more loyal to) I've looked through some leaks and the cast's interviews, and the writing for so many characters seems to be all over the place tbh

You should read their interview about Helaemond. They know about it. They purposely do things in scenes to prop it up. The actors love it. So is it canon? I think so. Just Google Helaemond and there's a recent article someone did from decider.

i mean, it does matter though. The whole "game of thrones" show is about the illegitimacy of Joffrey. Yes, Jace has Targ blood, but in Westeros, the great council ultimately decides who will sit on the throne (as we saw with Rhaenys and Viserys). So even though Jace is Targaryen, him being the next king offends all the lords and laws they have. Rhaenyra not only is a woman (which in many eyes is a shock), but she also has 3 bastard sons. She made lots of bad decisions I think.

if he is a bastard, by definition he cannot be a true born targaryen.

@@olalala439 I think the point is that there is no way of definitively proving that Jace is a bastard. Which is what Rhaenyra was clinging to in season 1, she basically pretended they were Laenor's. I mean what else could she have done? They're her kids, she loves them, she doesn't want them to be killed or discriminated against for having the wrong dad. She can't hide them away, literally the only option was to deny any claims of illegitimacy. I feel bad for her. She was stuck in a loveless marriage to a man who couldn't father children. If she were a man she could sleep with whoever she liked and any bastards born would not be an issue. She's constantly undermined and betrayed simply for being a woman.

She also said her mother and rhaenyra had a beautiful friendship. It threw me so off. We don't see this on the show. Just rhaenyra getting groovy with laena's husband at her funeral. Doesn't sound like a very good friendship to me.

I don't think it's favoritism. Sarah Hess and Ryan were vocal about all the rave on Daemon last season so I guess they still don't want to humanize him. It seems like they are having a hard time making him morally grey. They want to make him more black than white. I wonder what GRRM thinks about it.

I think this season will have great reviews, but I have to say Baela's actress comment surprised me as well. What relationship does Baela even have with Rhaenyra besides being her son's betrothed? I don`t think they even spoke one word to each other. I feel like that comment was stupid, even though Daemon is an absent father he is still more of a parent to the girls than Rhaenyra. It looks as if the actress just admires Emma so she says such stuff, as if Rhaenyra is so purely good.
