i wish they would have trained with her on her vocals. i understand the thyroid issue but it takes work to bring the vocals up to a better standard. im a vocalist and i got a horrible throat infection years ago. messed me up and it took about a year to get back to professionally singing again. i had to say bye to soprano however i trained up my new found tenor and alto and worked on a wider range vocals. just gotta use what you got to the very best of your ability. the vocals just sound lazy to me...
