TVS Apache vs Bajaj Pulsar is a battle that has been raging for almost two decades now. While the Pulsar had the upper hand in this rivalry, things have changed a lot in the past five years, as TVS made a strong comeback with the Apache RTR 200 4V and followed it up with the Apache RTR 160 4V. And in the meantime, the Bajaj Pulsar brand has been diluted massively over the past many years.
However, Bajaj has plans to reclaim the authority and sheen of the Pulsar brand with the new Pulsar N 160. It looks the part, has a powerful 160cc engine and gets loaded with a nice set of features. However, the task on its hand isn’t very easy as the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is the segment benchmark.

I test ride lots of bike with in 160 cc . But I feel TVS Apache RTR 160 4v is smooth and comfortable for daily and touring. This year i bought TVS Apache RTR 160 4v and i haven't not face any problem and giving quite comfortable ride & no problem bike. It's quite refined engine and aslo good future. Now test ride both according your need you chose

Yeah if you have extra 40-50k and u always ride alone than MT is too good but its not family friendly bike. U can't ride with ur father/ mother/ sister/ wife ....like anybody

Pulsar advantages : dual channel with big disc size & Robotic fresh front look. Disadvantages : 2valve engine, overweight (154kg I guess) Not fully digital meter console Power 16 bhp performance not that much impressive... with competitor. Apache advantage : fully digital meter console (segment best), riding modes, lap timer, 0-60 recorder, Bluetooth with turn by turn navigation, premium paint & switch gear quality, comfortable single seat, comfortable single piece handlebar, suspension tuned medium, & the best power & performance in the segment 17.63ps that's amazing & price wise it's really good with their competitors. Disadvantages : 90 sec front tyre/thin telescopic front suspension/missing dual channel abs & disc size small compared to competitors/wire management lacks (not a big issue) But overall it's really impressive, btw I purchased 1604v special edition on 01/10/22 & I loved it 🥰

Bro I think 160 4v is better in terms of stability and overall ride experience than N160. Happily Bought 160 4v special edition on 30/12/2022. Best decision for me 😄

Vaise to dono bike best he , but agar pulsar ka weight Apache ke barabar hota to pulsar har mamle me Apache ko beat kar deti , bajaj hamesha se meri favourite company rahi he isliye I love Bajaj and it's bike I'm going with N160 because safety is first then speed

After some test rides and comparing other things I bought a 1604v special edition last month. I like its looks, performance, and (most importantly)features. Single channel ABS seems like a compromise but I usually cruise under 70-80 only.

@@tabishbeg9766 brother if your budget is under 1.5-1.6 lac then absolutely go for it. It effortlessly quickly goes upto 90 (I haven't tried the top speed). Seat is comfortable. Suspensions works really nice. Bluetooth connectivity, detailed digital console meter display, and the most important thing is that people really appreciate the looks of my 160 4v Matt Black special edition.

@@Prem-sy8mt I haven't faced any issues yet, and I hope I will not face too in the future because 70-80 is too much for the light weight of the bike for sudden braking to zero.

In april 2018 I bought pulsar ns 160, this was a good bike in segment and in Nov 22 i have apache rm spl edition. Normally Apache is the winner of this comparison. Bajaj should improve the body and engine head sound issues. I'm NOW enjoying the winner APACHE RTR 160 4V RM SPL EDITION 🏍️

TVS apache 160 4v is much better in term of quality of engine durability and comfort for long run , Bajaj ki gaadi 1 saal baad Katara ho jati hai. Bajaj spare parts of low quality based it my personal experience because I used Bajaj bike Avengers, Bajaj ns and Bajaj 135 all are waste of money and my worst investment.

TVS does make lot of compromises . 160 cc apache looks a commuter version 200apache... And the new headlamp is really ugly... The new pulsar N series is miles n miles ahead of apache in 90% of aspects...

In terms of performance N160 cannot be compared with 160 4V because of its 2V engine. I think NS160 would've been a perfect comparison with RTR.

Appache is more fun to ride , even the ground clearnce is 180 mm which is massive and good for people who live in rular and urbans , even Appache has more power than pulsar. And Appache feels to be premium.

In Bangalore in April, rtr 160 4v special edition was 1.65L and bajaj n250 was 1.8L. I test rode both and decided to go for N250 because at only 15k more I got a new in the market look and better speedometer and above all 100cc more!

Need an n125 that has 4v 6 speed engine making almost same power n torque as n160. But rest of the same can be kept at n250 in theme of body design brakes tires suspension etc. Only the front can be redesigned maybe like a Husqvarna rather than mt15 man!

@@jeevanchaukar the thing is that a 125cc fuel efficient bike thats is lighweight agile and yet powerful enough for occasional street racing makes a lot of sense to me in 2023 and if it looks and feels sporty/punchy sone pe suhaga! pulsar is the only brand in india i think that can do justice to it. if i really want something heavy or touring friendly i would prefer dominar no 🤒

a masculine pulsar 125 that beats the fuel economy standards of current 100cc engines and performance standards of current 150 cc engines is better than mt15 or platina anyday. why would i not invest 2 lakh in such a bike that can replace both a platina and a mt15 with one single marvelous engine. bajaj gotta make one last good ICE engine before EVs takeover. use vva tech or whatever other innovation but they gotta make a good allrounder engine that can deliver power on demand and economy on demand both (through different riding modes ofcourse). people always pay if the product is good enough.... look at iPhone, look at starbucks for example!

Agar tum speed 90 ke kaam pey gadi chalate ho then 2V is enough for it. Agar usse jyada me prefer karte ho toh 4v is best.. 2v mey apko 50-100 km ke bich mey rest dena padega bike ko But 4v mey 100-150 tak aram se jaa sakte ho Ek saath.. Note: 2v mey v 120-140speed jaa sakte ho but baar baar 100 se jyaada jane se engine ka durability khaatam ho jata hai..
