I'm shocked that they showed the body of the Marine that was murdered. Was that the norm for US news back then? Would they show that now?

They definitely would not show that now. Standards have changed. If you watch old local news from the 70s, it's common to see dead bodies with TV cameras only a couple of feet away (and police officers guiding the crews around). It was just a different time.

I dont believe that this can be called Stockholm syndrome, The interviews the people made at 1:44:00 were under extreme duress and they were told to say those things. It would be one thing if they said NO they treated us well and we want no harm done to them AFTER their release. But at the time of filming the interview they were still hostages. That must have been weird sitting there talking to the press knowing that they get to go home but you only feet from freedom must go back to being a hostage.

INN was Independent Network News, a nightly program produced by Tribune Broadcasting and mostly aired on their stations. It was produced at their New York station, WPIX.
